BandMGT's answer
BandMGT is built by musicians, for musiciansโspecifically gigging bandleaders who need clarity, not complexity. While many platforms cater to agencies or try to do everything, BandMGT focuses on what working bands actually need: clean scheduling, drag-and-drop setlists, availability tracking, and simple financial tools. It combines the best parts of spreadsheets, group chats, and calendars into one intuitive, purpose-built platformโwith powerful analytics for better performances.
BandMGT's answer
Unlike BandHelper or Back On Stage, BandMGT is lightweight, modern, and easy to use from day one. We offer a generous free tier with essential tools like calendar sharing, setlist management (with Spotify integration), and song analyticsโno credit card required. Our Pro plan is priced to support working bands, not agencies, and avoids bloated features most small groups donโt need. BandMGT is constantly evolving with input from real musicians and focuses on fast, musician-first workflows.
BandMGT's answer
Our primary audience is bandleaders and musicians in small-to-medium-sized groupsโcover bands, function bands, wedding trios, and original actsโwho are managing gigs, rehearsals, and rotating members. Theyโre often juggling communication, scheduling, and setlists across multiple tools and want a simple, central place to stay organized. Many are semi-pro or weekend performers who value time-saving tools that โjust work.โ
BandMGT's answer
BandMGT was born out of frustration. After more than 30 years of playing in bandsโand over a decade working in product managementโI got tired of the chaos that came with organizing shows, coordinating people, and keeping track of whoโs been paid. What started as a personal side project quickly turned into something real. I built BandMGT to solve a pain I knew other bandleaders shared, and to learn some new skills along the way. Now, itโs a growing platform focused on making band life less stressful and more fun.

Automated analysis tools: SonarQube, CodeClimate, and Codacy detect code-level debt automatically: cyclomatic complexity, code duplication, dependency staleness, and coverage gaps. These tools supplement but don't replace the architectural and business-logic debt that requires human judgment to identify and document. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
