BookStacker was built by a single developer and book lover who was tired of Goodreads selling reading data to Amazon and wanted something better private, fast, and beautiful. What started as a personal project became a fully featured PWA available in 6 languages, with offline-first architecture, AI recommendations, and support for rare book collections. Built with passion, not venture capital.
