Whatnot's dashboard shows estimates. Aftershows shows your real numbers.

Whatnot does $8B in GMV and their own help docs say not to use the native dashboard for taxes or any official reporting. Sellers end up doing fee math on notepads, dropping CSVs into spreadsheets, of paying a bookkeeper who doesn't understand live commerce.

Aftershows turns Whatnot's weekly Seller Hub CSV exports into the analytics sellers actually need.

What you get:

  • Profit per show after fees, shipping, refunds, and what you paid for inventory
  • Fee breakdown line by line (8% commission, 2.9% + $0.30 processing, refund handling)
  • Top buyers and lapsed buyer detection (who bought once and never came back)
  • Buyer cohort retention curves
  • Week-over-week, month-over-month, year-over-year trends
  • Boost ROI tracking (manual entry in v1)
  • Schedule C-ready CSV export at year-end with line-item mapping
  • Weekly Monday email summary
  • Surprising-insight engine that auto-flags outliers each week

Free tier: 2 uploads, single-week + week-over-week views. Paid tier: $19/mo unlimited or $180/yr (21% off). Unlocks multi-week trends, buyer cohorts, lapsed-buyer lists, Schedule C export, and the weekly email.

Built for serious Whatnot sellers earning $5K+/mo GMV who want real numbers instead of estimates. Card sellers, Pokemon and sports cards, sneakers, beauty, electronics, jewelry, fashion all supported.

Free standalone tools at aftershows.co/tools โ€” Whatnot fee calculator, profit calculator, and Schedule C calculator. No login required.

Independent product, not affiliated with Whatnot, Inc. We process the CSVs you export from Seller Hub. We do not store the original raw CSVs after parsing.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing AZIPCODE and Aftershows.

What makes your product unique?

Aftershows's answer:

Whatnot-only focus, analytics-first, real numbers instead of estimates. Whatnot's own help docs say their dashboard is estimates only and not for tax use. Aftershows processes the actual transaction CSVs and shows profit per show after fees, shipping, and what you paid for inventory. It also generates a Schedule C-ready CSV at year-end.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Aftershows's answer:

Other reseller tools are multi-platform and bookkeeping-heavy. Seller Ledger covers eBay, Mercari, Whatnot, and others. Vendoo is for cross-listing. Aftershows does one platform deeply: live commerce on Whatnot. Per-show profit, fee transparency, buyer cohorts, and Schedule C export are built around the way Whatnot sellers actually work.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Aftershows's answer:

Active Whatnot sellers earning $5,000 or more per month in GMV. Card sellers, Pokemon and sports cards, sneakers, Funko, beauty, jewelry, fashion. Sellers who run weekly shows, want real numbers instead of Whatnot's estimates, and need a Schedule C export at tax time.

What's the story behind your product?

Aftershows's answer:

Whatnot does $8B in GMV and tells sellers their own dashboard is estimates only. Reddit threads from r/whatnotapp showed sellers doing fee math on notepads, asking why their estimate said $74 but they got $66. Built Aftershows to give sellers real numbers, the way they already think about their business: per show, per buyer, per category.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Aftershows's answer:

Next.js 16 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind v4, shadcn/ui, Recharts, Drizzle ORM, Postgres (Neon), Auth.js v5, Resend, Stripe, Vercel.
