General orchestrators โ Airflow, Prefect, AWS Step Functions, Azure Logic Apps. These treat Each LLM call as just another task in a DAG, and give you the heavyweight reliability Machinery: durable state, scheduling, checkpointing, audit trails, human approval. - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
Recently, a customer asked me when they should choose Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (Amazon MWAA) versus AWS Step Functions. I walked them through their use cases, pointed them to the recently published AWS comparison blog, and mentioned AWS Lambda durable functions as something worth considering for their new data platform. - Source: dev.to / 17 days ago

As an avid user of AWS Step Functions, I've been pleased by several excellent releases over the past few years, including Distributed Map, Express Workflows, Intrinsic functions, TestState, redrive, service integrations, and so many others. Both of these are very popular but they either lack essential features or have them behind a subscription wall. For example, the OSS version of Supabase (last I checked) doesn't include the edge functions which are really... - Source: Hacker News / almost 4 years ago
