  • Ask HN: What photo frame should I buy for my family?
Https://auraframes.com/ Avoid the Skylight frames and calendar, lots of cloud lock in and even though theyโ€™re Android powered, you canโ€™t modify to remove the paid for cloud requirement bits. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
  • Looking for digital photo frames for family that came share single block of photos
Aura is a great frame. You download the app and invite everyone to contribute to your frame (s). We have one and Iโ€™m gifting three to others. You can preload them to give as gifts. My daughter likes to put NSFW pictures on it which can be quite the conversation piece when we have company over. Https://auraframes.com/. Source: over 3 years ago
  • What are your plans for your childโ€™s presence on social media? How are you going to manage photos being taken?
We bought all the grandparents Aura frames for Christmas when I was pregnant with my first and explained thatโ€™s how weโ€™d be sharing photos. Theyโ€™re not cheap, theyโ€™ve worked out well (except for how infrequently we remember to upload new photos, but thatโ€™s on us, haha). Source: almost 4 years ago
  • Is there a digital photo frame that you can upload pictures to via the web, not just via wifi? Asking for a fatherโ€™s day gift...
Do you mean upload photos to the frame remotely? Aura Frames makes a few different ones. We got one of them for my parents for Christmas, and itโ€™s been great. Me, my wife, my brothers, and their wives can upload photos to the frame even though we live in three different states. We generally use the smartphone app to add the photos, but their is also a web uploader you can use from a computer. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Anyone know of a DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME that can be loaded/ changed from afar AND requires NO ability (on the part of the end user) to operate technology?
Aura frames are expensive but an excellent experience. Multiple people can contribute to the frame via their phone app and the frame itself requires nothing from the viewer, my parents love these https://auraframes.com. Source: about 5 years ago
