August is a UK-based property management app built specifically for small landlords who want a simple, compliant way to manage their rental properties. The platform focuses on compliance obligations, offering automated reminders for key requirements like Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs and tenancy documents.
A standout feature is its integrated August Intelligence which allows users to upload a tenancy document and the app then populates the property and tenancy automatically. It also provides contextually aware responses to questions the landlord has on their properties or tenancies โ like โwhat was may void period on the property on Hawthorn Roadโ.
The interface is clean, mobile-native and easy to navigate, making it ideal for landlords with one to ten properties. Their tenants can use the app too. While August doesnโt offer accounting yet their website does indicate this is coming.
Landlords can upload and share documents with tenants, get suggested reminders to track deadlines, track rent and take payments in the platform without commission. Subscription pricing is transparent, and a free trial is available. For self-managing landlords, accidental landlords, BTL landlords, HMO landlords, Portfolio Landlords, Overseas Landlords, Property Managers and Small agencies and Tenants.

August App Google's Python ClassI I had been using another property management tool for years, but they ended support for it in the middle of this year, so I was looking for an alternative and found August. I didn't want an app, but after reading the website it became clear that August was a web platform as well as a mobile app.
I connected my bank account and it provided me with rent details for my tenancies for the last two years, which is helpful when it comes to HMRC. That's the other point: I needed something that could take care of MTD, and August does this simply, unlike others in the market.
I find myself logging on once in a while to check on things. The reminders pull me back into the platform, which my old platform didn't do.
Honestly, I love August and wish I had moved across sooner.
