Possible disadvantages

CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing AudioTranscriber.pro and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

AudioTranscriber.pro's answer

Correct a misheard word once — a project name, an acronym, a technical term — and it becomes a glossary entry that is applied automatically to every later recording. With the Scribe engine, that glossary is also sent to the transcription engine itself as key terms, so the word is recognised correctly in the first place rather than fixed afterwards. The transcript then feeds a meeting report built in your own Word template, where report lines carry references back to the audio segments they came from, and which you edit by talking to a built-in assistant instead of clicking through menus.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

AudioTranscriber.pro's answer

Because the vocabulary you correct is never lost: each fix is stored once and applied to every later transcription, and with the Scribe engine it is fed to the recognition engine itself as key terms. And because the deliverable is not a raw transcript but a finished meeting report in your own Word template, with the source audio one click away from each line — plus action tables and slide decks the built-in assistant produces on request. Free trial, no credit card.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

AudioTranscriber.pro's answer

Professionals who run recurring meetings full of domain-specific vocabulary and have to produce a written record afterwards: consultants, engineers, project managers, researchers, small teams. Anyone for whom the transcript is a means to a report, not the end product.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AudioTranscriber.pro's answer

Next.js (App Router) · React · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS · Node.js · Lemon Squeezy for payments.

Transcription runs on ElevenLabs Scribe v2, OpenAI Whisper and Whisper large-v3 on GPU. The built-in assistant runs on Anthropic Claude and OpenAI models.

On the client side, MP3 compression happens in the browser with lamejs before upload, and documents are generated with docx, exceljs and pptxgenjs.

What's the story behind your product?

AudioTranscriber.pro's answer

Technical meetings are long, and the write-up afterwards is often worse than the meeting itself. That is the problem AudioTranscriber solves.

Generic transcription tools do not close that gap. They mangle specialist vocabulary — project names, acronyms, technical terms — and they mangle it the same way in every new recording. A correction made today is forgotten tomorrow.

The glossary is the answer to that, and it is where the product starts: correct a word once and it is stored, then reapplied to every later transcription. With the ElevenLabs Scribe engine the glossary also goes to the recognition engine itself as key terms, which closes the loop — enriching your glossary directly improves transcription.

Everything else follows the same logic: if the transcript is only a means to a written record, the product should deliver the record. So it builds the meeting report inside your own Word template, keeps each report line tied to the audio it came from, installs on mobile like an app, and gives you an assistant you talk to in order to rewrite a section, change the template or pull out the action items — instead of clicking through menus.
