PressPrep's answer:
PressPrep is built around the full lifecycle of a media interview, not just Q&A generation. It researches the specific reporter and outlet, scans current news around the topic, generates likely and hard questions with recommended bridges, builds talking points grounded in the user's key messages, runs a live AI mock interview in aggressive, neutral, or friendly mode, and scores a post-interview debrief against the real published story or transcript. Most tools cover one of those steps; PressPrep covers the whole workflow in one place.
PressPrep's answer:
General PR and media-monitoring tools (Muck Rack, Prowly, Cision) are built around finding journalists and tracking coverage after the fact. PressPrep is focused on the moment before the interview: it turns a single interview request into a full brief โ reporter research, likely questions, talking points, and a practice round โ so a spokesperson is genuinely ready before they get on the call, not just aware of who they're talking to.
PressPrep's answer:
Corporate communications teams, PR agencies, investor relations, public affairs, and crisis-comms professionals โ anyone responsible for preparing a spokesperson before they go on the record with a journalist.
PressPrep's answer:
PressPrep grew out of a simple observation: when a reporter reaches out for an interview, most of the prep work โ researching the reporter, anticipating the hard questions, aligning talking points to key messages โ still happens manually and under time pressure. PressPrep turns that scramble into a repeatable process, so spokespeople walk in ready instead of winging it.

Itโs about valueโsaving time, money, and effort. Traditional transcription services charged $1-2 per audio minute. Imagine needing 10 hours transcribedโthatโs $600 to $1,200, just to get your words on paper. With tools like Assembly AI charging $0.015 per minute (thatโs $0.90 for an hour), the cost drops dramatically. For companies dealing with large volumes of audio, this is a game changer. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
The auto caption is from assemblyai.com, they do a pretty good job. As for manual, you can do `Add Layer` > `Text` from the short-form editor then trim each text layer. Its slow going though. Ideally we will figure out a better interface and build it. For now I recommend using the auto caption, then modifying it to your liking, if there is more than a few words it will probably be faster. Thanks for the kind words! Source: over 3 years ago
