Stop answering the same procedure questions every day. askSOPhia gives workers instant SOP answers while showing you which procedures waste the most time.

INSTANT ANSWERS, ZERO INTERRUPTIONS Your workers type questions in plain language. "What PPE is required for welding?" "How do I operate the CNC machine?" "What's the emergency evacuation procedure?" They get answers in seconds from your approved Standard Operating Procedures. Every answer includes citations, document name, section, page, version number. Perfect for compliance, training, and audits.

No more Slack interruptions. No more "where did we document that?" No more reading 40-page manuals to find one step. Workers stay productive. You stay focused.

CONFUSION ANALYTICS This is what makes askSOPhia different from document management tools. Our analytics dashboard shows which procedures confuse your team most. If "lockout/tagout safety" gets asked 47 times this month, your SOP is either unclear or hard to find. If "forklift operation" gets asked 3 times, it's working fine.

See question frequency. Identify knowledge gaps. Prioritize rewrites based on data, not guesswork. Fix procedures that actually waste time. Reduce questions permanently.

ADMIN CONTROLS FOR COMPLIANCE Upload SOPs as PDFs, Word documents, or create them directly as text. Nothing goes live until you approve it. Role-based permissions mean workers only see procedures relevant to their role. Update a procedure once, every team member gets the current version instantly. No more emailing new versions. No more wondering who has the outdated copy.

Version tracking ensures answers always cite which version they came from. Perfect for regulated industries where procedure compliance matters.

WHO USES ASKSOPHIA If SOPs matter to your business but nobody reads them because finding answers takes too long, we built this for you.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing askSOPhia and ForthWrite.

What makes your product unique?

askSOPhia's answer

askSOPhia is the only platform that combines instant SOP Q&A with confusion analytics. While other tools help you create or store procedures, we show you which ones confuse your team most.

Our analytics dashboard reveals question frequency patterns - if "lockout/tagout procedure" gets asked 47 times, you know that SOP needs rewriting. Competitors track document views or training completion, but only askSOPhia tracks actual confusion.

We're also the only SOP platform where getting an answer is faster than interrupting a coworker - 5 seconds vs 15+ minutes of searching through folders.

ForthWrite's answer:

ForthWrite learns your writing style from your actual sent mail, not a generic prompt. Every draft sounds like you wrote it because it was trained on how you actually write. It also auto-drafts replies before you open your inbox, so your email is partially handled before your day starts.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

askSOPhia's answer

Speed: Answers in 5 seconds vs 15+ minutes searching SharePoint or reading 40-page manuals.

Data-driven improvements: See which procedures waste time based on actual usage, not guesswork. Trainual and Process Street don't show you what confuses your team.

SOP-focused: We only do operational procedures. Notion does everything, Confluence is a wiki, we're built specifically for ops teams who need procedures that people actually use.

No hallucinations: Only answers from your approved documents with full citations - document name, section, page, version. Perfect for compliance and audits.

ForthWrite's answer:

Most AI email tools give you a blank box and a "write for me" button. ForthWrite builds a voice profile from your sent history and gets more accurate with every draft you edit or send. Unlike ChatGPT or Gemini, it works natively inside Gmail and Outlook with no copy-paste. Unlike Lavender, it writes the draft, not just scores it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

askSOPhia's answer

Operations managers, safety coordinators, and team leads at 10-50 person companies in regulated industries.

Primary industries: Manufacturing, healthcare, food service, construction, and facilities management - anywhere Standard Operating Procedures are mandatory and training time impacts the bottom line.

Pain point: Their teams have SOPs documented but nobody reads them because finding answers takes too long. Workers interrupt managers instead. New hires take weeks to learn procedures. They need a solution that makes documentation actually get used.

Decision maker profile: Practical, data-driven, frustrated with current documentation systems. Values ROI over features. Needs to show measurable improvement (reduced questions, faster onboarding, fewer errors).

ForthWrite's answer:

Professionals who send high volumes of relationship-critical email and cannot afford to sound generic: lawyers, financial advisors, recruiters, account executives, consultants, and founders managing their own inbox.

What's the story behind your product?

askSOPhia's answer

askSOPhia was built by a mechanical engineer in South Africa who worked at several manufacturing companies and saw the same problem everywhere: teams had SOPs documented, but nobody used them.

The reason was simple - finding an answer took 15 minutes of searching through SharePoint folders and reading dense PDFs. Asking the ops manager took 30 seconds. People chose the path of least resistance every time.

Operations managers spent their days answering the same procedure questions repeatedly. "What's the lockout/tagout procedure?" "How do I operate the forklift?" New hires would ask, forget, then ask again.

The bigger issue: companies had no data on which SOPs were actually confusing. They'd rewrite procedures based on guesses and what they remembered being asked about, not actual usage patterns.

askSOPhia solves both problems: it makes getting answers faster than interrupting someone (5 seconds instead of 15 minutes), and shows which procedures generate the most questions so companies can fix what's actually broken.

Currently in open beta.

ForthWrite's answer:

Built out of frustration with AI writing tools that produce text that sounds nothing like the person sending it, and as a way to handle large amounts of daily email. The core insight was that your sent mail is the best training data you already have, and no tool was using it.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

askSOPhia's answer

Built on modern JavaScript frameworks with AI-powered document processing. Cloud-hosted with enterprise security. Uses latest natural language processing models for Q&A.

ForthWrite's answer:

Next.js, React, Supabase, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Stripe, Vercel, Chrome Extensions API

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

askSOPhia's answer

askSOPhia is launching open beta now.

Target customers: - Manufacturing companies managing equipment and quality procedures - Healthcare facilities with clinical and operational protocols - Food service businesses with preparation and hygiene procedures - Construction firms with equipment and site procedures - Facilities management companies with maintenance protocols

Ideal customer: 10-50 person operations teams where procedures are documented but underutilized because they're hard to access.

I built ForthWrite to fix generic AI email, and I still use it every day

I built ForthWrite because I kept sending emails that sounded like they came from the same generic AI as everyone else. After launching it, I still use it for my own inbox every day, which is about the most honest endorsement I can give.

The Chrome extension lives inside Gmail and Outlook on the web. Open a thread, hit Alt+Shift+D, and a draft comes back in your voice, not a template. The free tier is real: 10 drafts per week, no API key, no credit card. Voice matching is included on free, because that is the point.

What keeps it useful compared to Gemini or a chat tab: it learns from what you actually send. Every edit you make before hitting send becomes a signal. Over time the drafts drift closer to how you really write, and the dashboard shows the improvement curve so you can see it happening.

The web compose surface lets you draft from forthwrite.ai without installing anything, useful for people who want to try before committing to the extension.

Standard adds recipient-aware and intent-aware drafting plus AI coaching. Pro adds auto-draft (replies waiting when you open Gmail), batch replies, and Prompt Lab for version-controlling your prompts. Teams adds a shared persona and seat-level analytics.

ForthWrite is not for everyone. If you just need quick replies and tone does not matter, Gemini is free and already in your inbox. ForthWrite is for people where tone does matter: client communication, relationship-driven threads, external correspondence where sounding off costs something real.

Disclosure: I am the founder and use it daily. Happy to answer questions in the comments.

    ๐Ÿ Competitors: Jace.ai, Fyxer, Mailmeteor
๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Drafts land inside gmail and outlook; no copy-pasting from a chat window|Voice matching is on the free tier, not paywalled behind paid plans|No api key, no credit card to start; free tier runs on a server-side proxy|Learns from every edit you make before sending; drafts improve over time|Full keyboard flow: alt+shift+d to draft in any thread, no mouse required|Byok on paid plans, 9 providers supported, keys encrypted at rest|Web compose at forthwrite.ai works without installing the extension at all
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    10 free drafts/week is enough to evaluate, not enough for a heavy inbox|Auto-draft, batch replies, and prompt lab all require the pro tier|Early-stage product; fewer third-party integrations than mature inbox tools|No mobile app: the extension and add-in are desktop-only (chrome on web, or the outlook desktop add-in)
