How to make a map like this?
Easiest would probably be OSMnx, a Python library specifically made for working with street networks using OpenStreetMap data. Use then something like https://open-elevation.com to get altitude data and calculate the average steepness of each street. Plot everything with your favourite plot method. Source: over 4 years ago
