Apify is a JavaScript & Node.js based data extraction tool for websites that crawls lists of URLs and automates workflows on the web. With Apify you can manage and automatically scale a pool of headless Chrome / Puppeteer instances, maintain queues of URLs to crawl, store crawling results locally or in the cloud, rotate proxies and much more.
ApifyAvalonia is recommended for developers who are familiar with XAML-based technologies and are looking to build cross-platform desktop applications. It's particularly well-suited for projects targeting multiple desktop environments with a single codebase, as well as for those who value a consistent UI experience across different platforms.
Based on our record, Avalonia should be more popular than Apify. It has been mentiond 157 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
The first network smoke labeled https://apify.com/ inconclusive even though the page was healthy. The response carried a Content Security Policy header larger than aiohttp's default 8 KB field limit. The client failed while parsing headers, before I saw the 200. - Source: dev.to / about 8 hours ago
Native @apify scheduling, dataset exports (CSV/JSON), webhooks, and it's callable by AI agents via Apify MCP. - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago
That runs News Scraper on Apify, which is the same forty lines plus the parts that are Tedious rather than hard: both feeds, the nested publisher element, the date Normalisation, and deduplication. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
That runs an Apify Actor I maintain, Domain Scraper, because the Tedious parts are the RDAP bootstrap, the vcard unpacking and the provider Fingerprinting rather than the HTTP call. If you would rather do it yourself, Https://rdap.org/domain/ is the whole API and it needs no key. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
Data collection: Apify actors, one per source, that scrape the open-data endpoints and normalize them. Quebec RBQ ships a daily bulk CSV (inside a 10.8 MB zip, ~924k rows that dedupe to ~54k active licences). Ontario HCRA has no bulk file — it's an internal JSON API behind the public registry. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
> I like WASM and I want to like WASM but the rate of maturity within the ecosystem is incredibly abysmal. The C# toolchain for WebAssembly is pretty good. You can do a lot with Avalonia and Uno: https://avaloniaui.net/ https://platform.uno/ Here's a C# clone of Visual Basic compiled to WebAssembly: https://bandysc.github.io/AvaloniaVisualBasic6/. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
So when I set out to ship Ditto Edge Studio — our debug and query tool for the Ditto edge database — I needed it to run on Windows, Linux, and macOS. On the Mac I already had a polished SwiftUI build. For everyone else, I turned to Avalonia. This post is about what I learned bringing the two into the same family, specifically around two features that had no business being easy to port:. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
I would bet in Avalonia UI. It's like WPF but cross-platform. https://avaloniaui.net/. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
But there are libraries that do that, e.g. https://avaloniaui.net. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Because I didnt see it already mentioned. Avalonia[1] and Uno[2] for C# are also really great if you want to write windows apps. I wrote some in Avalonia that worked incredible nice on Linux and Windows. You dont have to use MVVM or AXML for example Uno allows for C# Markup[3] to be used instead or MVUX instead of MVVM. I personally hate MVVM and AXML but you are not forced to use them. For Avalonia I dabbled in... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
