AI Session Archiver (ASA) is a Windows app that saves your ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini conversations to your own PC with a single click. Three things set it apart. Auto-recovery makes saving possible even after the page of a temporary or incognito chat has been closed, and it is a setting you can freely switch on or off. It has a feature that makes saving possible even after the page of a temporary or incognito chat has been closed. Tags are applied as you save, so file names stay consistent. Each format goes to its own folder, so nothing has to be moved afterwards. All of it is a couple of settings in one app, not a routine you have to keep up by hand.

What's the story behind your product?

The author lost a temporary chat by closing the page, and no exporter could bring it back. ASA was built to cover that case, and the rest of the features followed from daily use.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

A Python desktop application for Windows, paired with a Chrome extension (Manifest V3) that talks to it locally. Rendering to HTML, Markdown, text and PDF happens on the machine.

With auto-recovery, if a temporary or incognito chat is closed by an unexpected accident, its log is held temporarily on your device and can be saved the next time you start ASA. Auto-recovery is a setting you can freely switch on or off, so saving your logs and protecting your privacy are both possible.
