Expense Tracker by Uwe Zietz

AI Budget Assistant is a free, multi-currency personal finance app for individuals and families, available on Android and the web, with support for 9 languages.
Expenses can be captured by voice โ just say what you spent and it gets logged instantly via AI transcription โ or by photographing a receipt, which automatically extracts the amount, merchant, and category. On Android, the app can intercept push notifications from over 40 European banks and create expenses on-device without sending any data to a server. Bank statements can be imported from Wise, mBank, PKO BP, Revolut, Erste, Alior, and any CSV-formatted source.
Users can set spending budgets by category, track savings goals with a full contribution history, and manage recurring subscriptions with renewal reminders. A built-in AI assistant answers natural-language financial questions and accepts commands like "create a budget of โฌ300 for dining" across all supported languages.
For families and shared households, the app supports multi-member accounts with role-based access, group purchase voting, and an activity feed showing recent transactions from all members. Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack bots allow logging expenses and chatting with the AI without opening the app.
Sensitive fields are encrypted end-to-end. The app works offline and syncs automatically when a connection is restored. Supported currencies include USD, EUR, PLN, GBP, UAH, and RUB with live exchange rates. Supported interface languages are English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, and Dutch.

React EngineAI-Budget.pl's answer
Most budgeting apps require you to enter expenses manually or connect to a bank via open banking. AI Budget Assistant takes a different approach: you can log expenses by voice, scan a receipt with your camera, or let the app intercept bank push notifications on Android and create expenses automatically โ all without sharing raw bank credentials. The combination of AI capture methods, full offline support, end-to-end encryption, and bot integrations for Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack in a single free app is rare in this category. Family and shared budgeting is built in from the ground up โ members can share accounts with role-based access, vote on group purchases, and follow a live activity feed of each other's transactions, making it one of the few free apps that genuinely supports household finance management without a separate subscription.
AI-Budget.pl's answer
It is free with no paywalled core features. It works in 9 languages and handles multiple currencies natively. Shared accounts with family members or a partner are built in, not an add-on. Expense capture requires minimal effort โ voice, photo, or automatic notification parsing โ so there is less friction than apps that rely on manual entry or bank sync APIs. The app works offline and stores data locally first, which matters for users in areas with unreliable connectivity or those who are cautious about cloud-only storage.
AI-Budget.pl's answer
Individuals and families who want to track spending without the friction of manual entry. Particularly suited to expats and multilingual households managing multiple currencies, users who already rely on Telegram or WhatsApp as their main communication tool, and Android users who want passive expense capture from bank notifications.

Budget Assistant was built by Mihail Perevertkin under MICODE sp. z o.o., a Polish software company. Development started in early 2024 with a focus on making expense tracking as frictionless as possible through AI โ voice input and receipt scanning were among the first features built. The app launched on Google Play in April 2026 and has since grown to include shared accounts, bot integrations, bank import, subscription tracking, and a public web version.
