AdminLTE - This is by far my favorite because their open source version is "truly" open source, because they don't hold back stuff like calendar and chart plugins to lure you to the pro version. A lot of communities use [Discourse ](https://discourse.org). [LPSF](https://forum lpsf.org) migrated to it when Yahoo Groups was discontinued.
