10 fast fingers still colors the word red if you made any mistake in that word but it wont show you what or where the mistakes are, or at least not easily without losing precious seconds... You have to look down to another box and find the mistake... So it punishes you for not knowing where you made the mistake... It forces you to be mentally aware of each letter you are typing... If you were learning it before May 2020 when Monkeytype first came into existence, then the default test on 10fastfingers.com which uses a selection of 302 words contains all of the 100 most common words in the English language. 10Fastfingers has been around since October 2007. It's not a big surprise, given that Code42 (the parent company) pretends they have nothing to do with Crashplan. They've done a massive pivot to some kind of security company, with ZERO references to the OG product of Crashplan on code42.com, which (I'm guessing) is the bulk of their revenue.
