  • How Games Used to Look: Why Retro Gaming on a CRT Looks Different [video]
As the current AAA games are as playable as mediocre movies, and the movies themselves are nothing but soulless remakes, I'd prefer to get some public domain comic books from https://comicbookplus.com and get some stories from Ditko, the non-superhero based ones, but the ones from mistery/scifi themes, kinda like a comic version of The Twilight Zone. On proper gaming, most AAA games are lacking against Slashem,... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago

There is a website called comic book plus that is full of public domain comics because most of the publishers didn’t bother to renewal their copyright to those comics because most of them didn’t sell well or they went out of business and there are a lot of public domain superhero that no one has herded of and I hope this help you in search of public domain superhero. Fortunately, there happens to be quite a dedicated community devoted to finding and archiving public domain cartoons and comics. Check out the Grand Comics Database, Digital Comic Museum, and Comic Book Plus. The Digital Comic Museum and Comic Book Plus are especially vigilant at vetting the public domain status of the comics they archive and make available. Free being 'gratis' in this case. There are additional licensing terms that make it non-libre/non-open/non-free (as in freedom) [0]. Finding quality libre or public domain art remains difficult.
