Uhhh so on Comic Fury (the platform that hosts our comic's main site) there's the option to include a transcript, which is intended to just be so you can make your comic's dialogue searchable, if you enable the search function on your comic's site. Source: over 1 year ago
Heck yeah fan comic artist here! You'll find more of us on ComicFury. I wished there was more of us also on AO3, but it's formatting doesn't really make it easy lol. Source: over 1 year ago
However, ComicFury is a good site for posting mature comics, I've found. There's a very extensive tagging & filtering system, so the site isn't as worried about little kids coming across mature content accidentally. Source: over 1 year ago
I dunno if this is what you're looking for- but a couple of months ago I found this site: Comicfury to host my comics because all the big ones favor scroll and I like page format. There are teenagers there on the forums but the average age of forum participants is 20-40 (with a lot of over/under) and it has a very active forum section. Source: over 1 year ago
Because my preferred way to tell stories is comics. As much as I love AO3, it's not comic-friendly. Thus my main place to read/post is Comic Fury. Source: almost 2 years ago
Heres an example one, haven't used it or really looked much at it. https://comicfury.com/index.php. Source: almost 2 years ago
ComicFury is fandom friendly. If you know HTML you can customize your own site. While the focus is comics, I have seen illustrated novels there. Source: about 2 years ago
While there are forums, DeviantArt, Tumblr, Twitter and the like the new cool place for hosting PMD comics is ComicFury. Source: over 2 years ago
For those of us who used SmackJeeves as our PMDcomic reader back in the day, this is where everyone migrated to. Here's the site. Source: over 2 years ago
Hey I do fancomics! The site you want is ComicFury. Not to say Tumblr, Pixiv, or DA isn't bad either depending on your fandom. But if you like a site that allows you to freely edit your own personal website and also has a queuing system, there is no competition (especially since SmackJeeves burst into flames). I would recommend Comic Fury because they are free hosting, they have lots of styles to choose from and it's a great supportive community. They are open to any kind of genre and they really help you grow as an artist. Find it here https://comicfury.com/index.php. Source: almost 3 years ago
Good luck with your project! If you are looking for another place to share your story, I recommend ComicFury. Especially if you love making custom sites like what SmackJeeves used to do but with no price tag attached. Source: almost 3 years ago
All of these comics are hosted on ComicFury, so if you find out you really like a lot of these you can make an account and subscribe if you aren't an RSS user. Source: almost 3 years ago
A lot of the SJ PMD comic community moved to ComicFury. However I do not recall a comic by that title there. If DA is a bust, my only other suggestion is Pixiv and Tumblr. Source: almost 3 years ago
If you do decide to make a comic I hope to find you on ComicFury! Source: almost 3 years ago
Thank you very much! I want to say anyone who is considering getting into fancomics please look to joining ComicFury, as that has replaced SmackJeeves since it died. Source: almost 3 years ago
Hey! Fellow fancomic artist here! The site that was the place for english fancomics was SmackJeeves which was bought and killed by a company last year! The new cooler place, ComicFury, is where you want to post your comic. Source: almost 3 years ago
Comic Fury. Compared to Webtoon and Tapas, this platform is absolutely tiny, being run by just one guy. Out of the 3 I've mentioned, this one is my favorite-- it's highly customizable (as long as you have some degree of familiarity with CSS) and it has the same sort of general vibe as Smackjeeves did back in its heyday, giving you sort of an old-school webcomic experience. The formatting restrictions are super lax... Source: about 3 years ago
