There is no alternative to comicad.net, it is the ｂｅｓｔ! You can advertise to grow your comics or indie games audience and awareness, and also publish ad spaces if you have a website. Just ask anyone on there, it's a must have, and more ppl need to know about it!

I do remember the ad you're describing, although I had never looked too closely at it. I tried digging through the advertising history for that ad slot, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find any further information.
