Cold Turkey can block websites; and also apps in the Pro version. Source: 7 months ago
Avoid all triggers. It's easier to avoid being triggered than to have self-control once you're already triggered. https://getcoldturkey.com/ You can get this and block all websites using *. Put websites you want as exceptions in the exceptions box. Have the block on for a certain period of time, then you can edit the exceptions list if you want and start the block again. In my experience, installing something like Cold Turkey on your PC (and having someone set up Screen Time with a hard-to-guess PIN on your Apple devices, if you have any) can help prevent relapses early on when the cravings are the strongest. Source: 10 months ago
I use this website blocker called cold turkey blocker. You can get it here on Cold Turkey - The Toughest Website Blocker on the Internet (getcoldturkey.com) . You can type out all porn sites that you know and put a password to it. If you are a real mf then just type gibberish as the password. It forces you download this extension on all browsers and works even on incognito mode. And the best part is IT DOESNT... Source: 10 months ago
Cold Turkey Blocker on the Computer. (Important: Use the "whitelist" function when you want to block the entire internet and make an allowance for websites you need for work or stuff like Google Maps). Are you talking about https://getcoldturkey.com/ and its browser extension where the browser extension isn't working for apps in Opera's sidebar like Twitter? Source: 11 months ago
I use Cold Turkey to eliminate digital distractions. Its free version is pretty robust but I paid for the full version and it's been worth it. No mobile versions, unfortunately, but if you're working on a laptop maybe this will help? Source: 11 months ago
Sounds like you're still having struggling with it. That's normal, but you can drastically cut down your use pretty easily with a good distraction blocker. Something like Cold Turkey and/or FocusMe (which also has an Android version that's super helpful). Source: 11 months ago
Getting the Cold Turkey Blocker has really helped me. Source: 11 months ago
If you think you are able to focus on only using YouTube for studying, then there shouldn't be a problem, however if you find yourself frequently taking breaks on YT and losing lots of time then it would probably be a good idea to use an alternative resource instead. If necessary you can use a blocker to restrict the amount of time you spend on YouTube so that you can have better control over it, but that's only... Source: 11 months ago
Have you tried cold turkey? This is probably one of the better ones I’ve tried. The free version is enough for me but the paid version has a lot more options. Source: 11 months ago
Maybe Cold Turkey can help? The Pro version can block apps. Source: 12 months ago
A hard break is good, but if you still want to go back and think you'll have trouble sticking to certain time limitations (and you have some spare funds), I'd recommend cold turkey It might be a bit pricey, but it has a small student discout, which helps. It's really great for when you either need to block a game (but don't want to uninstall and reinstall), or alternatively it's good for providing hard limits to... Source: 12 months ago
So yeah, Cold Turkey may be a solution, though you may need to take a few days to test it and see if it behaves as you'd expect / understand how it tracks things. I've paid for the full version, full disclosure, but beyond that I just a fan of how I've found it helpful for me to stay on schedule. Source: 12 months ago
I'd recommend Cold Turkey. You can use it to block the specific games/launchers that you're frequently accessing: https://getcoldturkey.com/. Source: 12 months ago

Cold Turkey (https://getcoldturkey.com/) works great on PC. You can set timers, schedules, password protect your blocks, all sorts of ways to lock things out (although you need to pay for the full version to get all the fancy stuff. Probably worth it though). Source: about 1 year ago
Now that I'm doing WFH in a new city and have a very small social life I'm dealing with similar challenges to you. Every time I think I can moderate and control video games, something happens that throws me off and I play them too much (might be just for the weekend, could be a few days over a few weeks) and then suddenly I'm screwed again and need to detox. I don't think it's an easy or viable path to go down... Source: about 1 year ago
Cold Turkey can block apps, but for the Pro version only. Source: about 1 year ago
I downloaded the Cold Turkey App and set it up. I'm disabling all social medias and disctracting websites apart from Youtube at the moment. I'll allow myself to watch YouTube while eating (scheduled breaks) and between 9:30pm - 10:30pm, when I finished my day. Source: about 1 year ago
I recommend Cold Turkey Blocker. It is $40 and if you are prone to getting distracted on your PC then simply block it. I would try this first, as I did so when I was still using FL Studio good results. Set the timer for "x" minutes and get to work. Source: about 1 year ago
