Have you heard of clone hero? Itโ€™s what you want if you want a guitar hero with more songs but donโ€™t want to deal with modding or anything. • Suggestions for a beginner?
Yeah I do this with my e-drums and Clone Hero, running on a laptop stand in front of my drum set. Pics here.. 6000 songs to drum along to. Has taught me tons of grooves and fills, how drums work as part of a band, great timing practice, etc. Still practice all the other stuff (stick control, rudiments, technique etc) to a metronome but it's a great way to learn songs. • It's Time for a Stand-Alone RockBand Game
Heh, yeah, good luck with that However, this audience may be interested in Frets on Fire ( https://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/ ) and its fork Frets on Fire X ( https://github.com/fofix/fofix#readme ), too, but it doesn't appear to be open source https://github.com/Paturages/chorus#chorus. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago

If you're still interested in playing I can do you one better: Clone Hero. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Can I use my Alesis nitro on Rb 4 on Xbox one?
The best option would be Clone Hero, which allows you to plug in your e-drums to a laptop, PC, or other device (a lot of things are supported). It's more involved, since you have to install the software, configure it, and track down all the song files from the original games, which add up to over a hundred gigabytes. But it's a lot more flexible and useful. On my CH setup, I have a laptop on a laptop stand in... Source: over 3 years ago

  • Found at a pawnshop for 60โ‚ฌ they even gave me a free extra guitar and GH metallica and virtua tennis 4 lmao
I'm not sure how they connect to the computer, but I'd recommend a software called Clone Hero if you ever find that you've run out of stuff in the main GH Games, Clone Hero allows for custom charts and full band games, it's a really fun time when I wanna play guitar hero but feel too lazy to pull out the wii. • dance dance revolution
Those I have far less experience with, but there are a number of games that use regular midi controllers as inputs, and in particular open-source games that feature community support for custom music, like https://bemuse.ninja/project/ or https://clonehero.net/ . There has never been a better time to play rhythm games, either in terms of cost, variety, or availability. If nothing else, check out... Source: almost 4 years ago

  • Random Japanese guy V.S. my wife at an Arcade.
Depends on what you want to play. I saw your comment about Guitar Hero/Rock Band, and PC simulations for those games exist: DTXMania, which is a simulation of the Japanese rhythm game Drummania, uses any standard MIDI drum kit, and Clone Hero, which is a simulation of Guitar Hero, uses any normal guitar controller.
