Another wonderful option is to play Nintendo 3DS games with the Citra emulator. They look incredible. I would go so far as to say that if you're a fan of the console then this is the best way to experience its games, even better than on the original hardware. Again use 3840x1200 @ 60 Hz and full SBS. In Emulation -> Configure... -> Graphics -> Stereoscopy set it to "Side by Side". Also increase the renderer... Source: 9 months ago

It's safe, as long as you download it from the official website (https://citra-emu.org/). I believe that it's no longer necessary to provide original system files from a real 3DS, but it's highly recommended to do so in order to improve accuracy. Source: 12 months ago
"If you experience Pokémon no longer spawning in the open areas after a few minutes of gameplay, disable Extended Memory Layout (8GB DRAM). That option is not intended for normal use, it should only be enabled per game if a big texture mod is in use. It doesn't improve performance or compatibility. Don't follow terrible Youtube tutorials, I recommend reading our settings glossary instead: Settings glossary -... Source: 12 months ago
Just looking at https://citra-emu.org/ and what's working on it so far, it looks like Splinter Cell doesn't work and RE Mercenaries struggles on any system :/. Source: about 1 year ago
If you want to play on PC or Android, go to https://citra-emu.org and download and install the emulator. Then go to https://www.ziperto.com/yo-kai-watch-3-english/ to download the game and launch it in Citra to play. Source: about 1 year ago
If you're looking for a 3DS emulator, I believe Citra is the most popular, though without a 3DS you will have to get the games themselves through piracy. Source: about 1 year ago
If you want to try SOV you can use the citra emulator here https://citra-emu.org/ which emulates the game rather well. You will need a rom of the game though and the only way that doesn't violate copyright laws is to pull it off a game cartridge that you own. Definitely do not google "roms megathread" and click the github search result, and if you accidently do so, definitely do not navigate to nintendo and... Source: about 1 year ago
There's no direct way to do it as far as I know, but you can set it up through a combination of Citra on your PC, and any desktop viewer that supports SBS 3d. This video has some information on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T4oa2xyENc. Source: about 1 year ago

To be honest, even with it closing down I would advise against panic purchases. This is essentially the same as FOMO, and it's a dangerous mindset to buy something expensive just because you won't be able to later. And besides, it's not like the software is going anywhere. Citrus is a great resource for emulating 3ds games on PC. Source: about 1 year ago
Emulators 100%, mGBA for GBA games (My Boy for android, sprang for the paid version a while ago and don't regret it), DeSmuME for DS and Citra for 3DS. I do technically still own copies of most DS and 3DS games but I despise nuzlocking on hardware at this point and I tend to play romhacks anyways. I personally wouldn't recommend anything other than GBA games/romhacks for a phone, but maybe someone else has a... Source: about 1 year ago
Download and install Citra (https://citra-emu.org), dump the ACNL ROM (should be a .cia file) and install it into Citra, then launch it from the menu, done. If you face any problems, DM me. Source: about 1 year ago

Install the .cia file to a 3ds or citra (You need Citra to play the game on a PC), for citra just click file and then install cia. For 3ds install it like any other .cia file (a hacked 3ds is required for this). Source: over 1 year ago

Download Citra (3DS emulator) and also a rom of Omega Ruby. Make sure your device can run it. Also, the rom should be around 3 Gigs so make sure you have enough space. Whole setup takes 10-20 min to setup but downloading the rom could take a couple hours. Source: over 1 year ago
Maybe you downloaded the .cia file, and that's why you're having trouble. Cia files can't be launched directly, but by using the "Install CIA..." button in Citra, you can play them no problem. RetroArch cannot install CIAs, and I believe that Emudeck also cannot, so please use an official version of Citra downloaded from citra-emu.org. Source: over 1 year ago
