  Chatpdf.com often comes up in the comments. It works pretty well, but obviously a chat is limited with the content of a single document, it doesn't match the information. You need an API key to test it. I'm looking for a similar project to host locally, tested many projects but still searching.   I tried sending the rvv 1.0 spec to https://chatpdf.com and it... doesn't really work that well. Asked about v{,a,s}add.vv and it kept making up information like a standing for 'add', or 'saturating', and s standing for 'signed'. I suppose we'll see how much better it gets in time.   Yeah, as mentioned by someone else, chatpdf.com can do what you're talking about, but it's weird. It doesn't use the GPT-3.5 model to answer questions but instead uses Open AI embeddings to analyze the PDF and provide relevant answers. It's as good as it gets as of right now. It would be great if they could allow us to upload a PDF that finetunes the GPT-3.5 model to your individual document(s). Now that would be... Source: almost 2 years ago
