Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ChartLabs.
  1. What makes ChartLabs unique?

We clean all historical data before you see it — most platforms skip this entirely and feed you raw data full of spikes and gaps. We also focus purely on manual backtesting, not automated. You trade through historical charts the same way you'd trade live, which builds real execution skill. And we don't do tiered pricing or gamification — one plan, full access, no gimmicks.

  2. Why should a person choose ChartLabs over its competitors?

Most backtesting platforms either charge 2-3x more for their top tier, hide features behind paywalls, or add unnecessary complexity. We built ChartLabs because we trade full-time and got tired of all of it. You get cleaned data, professional analytics (Sharpe, Sortino, Monte Carlo, strategy correlation), multi-screen charting, and training/verification sessions — all included. No "upgrade to unlock."

  3. How would you describe the primary audience of ChartLabs?

Forex, indices, and crypto traders who want to validate their strategies on historical data before going live. Both newer traders building screen time and experienced traders refining their edge. Anyone who believes backtesting is training, not a checkbox.

  4. What's the story behind ChartLabs?

We're full-time forex traders. After years of using backtesting tools that were overpriced, overcomplicated, or both, we decided to build what we actually needed — something simple, with clean data, honest analytics, and fair pricing. No marketing gimmicks, no leaderboards, no fake urgency. Just a solid tool for serious traders.

  5. Which are the primary technologies used for building ChartLabs?

Web-based platform. Beyond that we'd rather talk about what it does for traders than what it's built with.

  6. Who are some of the biggest customers of ChartLabs?

We don't name individual customers. Our users are forex, indices, and crypto traders around the world — from people just starting to backtest their first strategy to experienced traders running multiple strategies across different markets.
