Scan the label and your cellar organizes itself. Drinking windows by appellation, a cellar map, and a sommelier that picks from your own bottles.
A startup from France.
This page is designed to help you find out whether Caviste is good and if it is the right choice for you.
Caviste turns a photo into a stocked cellar. Photograph a label and the bottle sheet fills itself in: estate, cuvée, appellation, region, vintage and grape varieties, recognized by AI with no database lookup. When the label keeps the grapes to itself, they are inferred from the appellation.
Every wine at its peak. Caviste computes a drinking window on five levels: the named estate, the appellation (Champagne cuvée tiers included), the region, the grape, then corrected by the vintage. The "Drink now" screen sorts the cellar by urgency, and reminders tell you when a bottle is ready.
A sommelier that only suggests what you own. Describe tonight's menu in one sentence. It picks up to three bottles from your own cellar, explains each pairing, and tells you which rack to find them in.
A cellar map. Draw your racks as they really are, place bottles by hand or let the app file them, then read the map by colour, by peak, or by what has been sleeping too long.
Your data stays yours. Free CSV import and export, both ways, including from a CellarTracker or Vivino export. No ads, no reselling, one-tap account deletion, GDPR compliant.
Free to start: a 7-day trial on the cellar and the sommelier, then up to 30 bottles and 3 pairings. The AI scan has its own allowance of 50 photos for the life of the account, trial included. Premium is 2.99 EUR per month or 24.99 EUR per year.

Not professionals: Caviste manages a personal cellar, not a winery or a merchant's stock. In practice that is an enthusiast who buys a few cases a year, keeps them for years, and wants to stop opening bottles too early or too late.
