Well I do also regularly make use of brow.sh expecially when I hit the slow hours of the internet. I just login to my old ssh sdf.org shell account and away I go. Source: over 1 year ago

That looks really useful! It would be even nicer to see something like this, but integrated with brow.sh for those who prefer to stay on the terminal. Source: about 2 years ago
I made https://brow.sh, a text-based web browser that's been on HN a few times. Making connections with like-minded people is just as important as the money. Looking more for short-term or part-time. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

--vo=tct is my favorite, but only works on unicode terminals (so everything other than a raw tty or xterm). It draws everything as a true-color unicode half-block character, similar to catimg or [brow.sh](https://brow.sh). Source: over 2 years ago
I keep a docker-based brow.sh instance running on a VPS for other uses. Source: over 2 years ago
Yes, running graphical apps in CLI would be cool, but TBox was made in Shell, so it cannot be done. I'd need something like BATBOX.EXE for windows that extends batch functionality. But there's no such thing. Also, you can try brow.sh to browse web in CLI. Source: over 2 years ago
If you just want the thing to run in text-mode, it will vary by app. Most (such as gimp) don't support it, but some do. Emacs, for example, will default to text-mode if the DISPLAY variable is unset. Mpv media player will display the video as Unicode blocks if given the option --vo=tct. https://brow.sh is essentially a wrapper around Firefox that does a similar thing, convert browser images into terminal output. Brow.sh is VERY heavy, slow, and the project seems stalled or abandoned. Source: about 3 years ago
