Another decent option is Broadband Now, but they might not have all the more local ISP options.   I've got family that lives a few miles outside of a small town. Looking at a coverage map of the area on broadbandnow.com, it seems that the other side of the highway my family lives on is covered, but not the side they live on. ie, the boundary seems to run along the highway.
