  Mind you between airlines and hotel websites, services like booking.com or airbnb, tripadvisor, klook etc its gotten easier and easier and easier to not only pre book things but pre pay for everything, including guides and entrance fees. • Room Block opening?

  Others, try using Hotel.com and booking.com in advance, but they are not guaranteed rooms, and almost every year I see people trying to argue with the front desk that they have a reservation.   It seems like every day in this sub I see another 5 discussions on booking.com issues. I always prepay. I skip on to something else if it only allows pay at the property. • Foreign Transaction fees for agoda booking

  I experienced this with BDO two days ago, when booking via the Agoda app. I did not expect a foreign transaction fee, since a few weeks ago, I booked some hotels with Agoda using my BPI CC and the amount shown when I paid was the exact amount shown in the SOA. All my previous hotel bookings with booking.com was paid with BPI as well, and there were no additional charges. Source: 5 months ago

  Its just what it says on booking.com. If I go to the cancellation section it states there is a $370-ish fee to cancel, rooms non refundable. I paid for 2 nights in full a few weeks ago so im guess its just a broad statement in case someone's card hasnt been charged yet? Source: 5 months ago

  Used booking.com. Sadly got sick and cant go but its been paid in full weeks ago. Cancellation fee is $300+. "If you don't show up or cancel, applicable taxes may still be charged by the property" would this be the best option? They have the option to message the home owners for "reduced" cancel fee but I feel like since I've already booked the 2 days and paid, not showing up shouldn't make much of a difference...   I had completely dropped the idea of staying in one of the lake rafts because I could only find crazy expensive ones on Booking.com, but I see now there are a few with reasonable prices.   So why am I now getting a message from the property manager that I booked with stating that they will be charging me $1746? Does booking.com not include taxes and other hidden fees?   Check out Palm Springs condos. .there are a few in town, near Nimman. -- I booked for 2 weeks with booking.com. Newer builds with great amenities (most rooms have balcony and washing machines, and pool and gym access) , close to Maya and Nimman One, plenty of food/grocery options in the area, plus easy access to activities, as its at a primary road intersection. . .   Always check on tripadvisor. Agoda is great as well. Have no luck with booking.com, mostly scam there since not many vietnamese actually use booking.com. Source: 5 months ago
