It runs entirely in the browser: you open it, fill in the client and the line items, and download a PDF. There is no account to create, no email to confirm, and no limit on how many documents you make. Every trade starts with a library of priced line items for its common work — a condenser swap, a panel upgrade, a square of shingles — so the rows you bill most often are already there. Anything you edit or star goes into your own price book for the next job. Sales tax applies only to the lines you mark, discounts can be a percentage or a fixed amount, and a deposit shows as its own line so the customer knows what is due before work starts. When an estimate is accepted, one click converts it into an invoice with the same client and lines. Privacy is the design, not a setting. Documents, clients and price books are stored in your browser on your own device; nothing you type is sent to a server. The PDF comes in two templates, Modern and Minimal, both carrying your business details, license number, payment instructions and terms. The free tier prints a small "Made with BidPaper" credit in the footer. BidPaper also publishes free downloadable estimate, quote and invoice templates (PDF and Excel) for every trade it covers, each pre-filled with that trade's line items. BidPaper does not process payments, schedule jobs or run a CRM. You get paid however you already get paid — check, Zelle, Venmo, cash — with no percentage cut and no card processing bolted on. It is built by a solo developer and funded by display ads on the guide and template pages; the builder itself has no ads. A Pro tier ($12/month or $99/year) is planned for extras such as your logo on the PDF, more templates and good/better/best options, and it will never gate how many documents you can make.

BidPaper is an independent project, not a venture-funded company. Right now nothing funds it and nothing is for sale. The plan is ads on the guide and template pages - never inside the builder - and an optional Pro subscription for people who want branded documents, multi-option estimates and payment schedules. That funding model is the reason the free tier can stay uncapped: it will not need to convert you to survive.
