Hi. I heard HN likes e-paper gadgets so I wanted to share a little side project I’ve been working on with @sqfmi. We’re building Beepberry - a portable e-paper computer for hackers, designed for chatting on Beeper. My day job is running Beeper [0], but I will always have a soft spot for building hardware. Chat today is broken. On your phone, you probably have 5 to 10... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

Check out https://beeper.com. This is a messenger for all the different chat networks. It's based on the matrix protocol and provides bridges to 10+ other networks. Source: about 2 years ago
> If, at some time in the future, it manages to create a usable bridge to connect between two popular private services (say Whatsapp and Telegram, or Teams and Slack) it could start accumulating network effects Well, I think usable bridges for such apps are a thing already. See e.g. https://element.io/element-matrix-store and https://beeper.com Problems are:. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
