  • WSUS - declining updates?
I'd also recommend checking out BatchPatch if you have a lot of servers to update manually, but not enough to warrant more expensive software. It's dirt cheap ($399/admin), allows you to monitor the progress of the update, trigger reboots, queue installs, pull update reports direct from the client, etc. It's a pretty dated app at this point, but still works perfectly well. • About to give up on WSUS
We're a small shop but bought this last week: https://batchpatch.com/ and so far it seems to do alot better than WSUS, it works along side of it or standalone. Not saying it's a full replacement but at least it's gotten us further than WSUs in terms of pushing out updates. Source: over 2 years ago

We've been using https://batchpatch.com/ .. Has saved us so much time that we bought the full version today. Highly recommended works with or without, next to WSUS. Source: over 2 years ago
  • WSUS - Please help me stream-line the process!
Very similar to the way you are doing it but using a tool like batch patch which allow you to remotely kick off the download install and reboot of the servers. Https://batchpatch.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Couldn't sleep last night... Because of this question: What do you do if your RMM is compromised?
I've just implemented https://batchpatch.com/. Don't be put off my it's terrible UI, it's very powerfull. In particular, I used PowerCLI and PowerShell to expand the functionality to snapshot a server prior to updates. After the update a PowerShell script checks the functionality of the server and if anything is not operating properly, PowerCLI is used to revert to the snapshot. If the server is running...
