BandUp started from the ordinary friction of playing in a band. Booking one rehearsal took dozens of messages. Setlists were printed, then changed by hand at the venue, so half the band played from an outdated sheet. Lyrics and chords lived in different notes apps in different keys. Every venue asked for a tech rider and someone rebuilt it from scratch each time.
None of that is a music problem. It is an organization problem that quietly eats the energy that should go into playing. So we built the tool we wanted: one shared workspace where the band's songs, sets, calendar, and stage requirements stay in sync on their own — so the time before a show goes to the music instead of the logistics.
