Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Banalytics.
  1. Which are the primary technologies used for building Banalytics?

The core of Banalytics is built with WebRTC, Spring, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ. Around this core, the platform supports a broad range of technologies from the Java ecosystem, as well as software, devices, and processing modules from other ecosystems through integration protocols, APIs, and industrial standards.

  2. What makes Banalytics unique?

Banalytics combines edge orchestration, local data processing, monitoring, automation, and Edge AI support in one vendor-independent platform. It works in closed or low-connectivity environments, keeps raw data under the customerโ€™s control, and integrates with existing devices and software without requiring teams to rebuild their pipelines.

  3. Why should a person choose Banalytics over its competitors?

Banalytics competes across several segments, including SCADA, VMS, IoT, edge computing, and industrial automation, each with its own set of competitors. It is not designed to replace a customerโ€™s entire technology stack. Instead, Banalytics complements existing infrastructure by closing operational gaps and adding capabilities teams often discover they need only when moving from a prototype to a real-world deployment, such as monitoring, automation, system health, remote access, data orchestration, and autonomous edge operation.

  4. How would you describe the primary audience of Banalytics?

Banalytics is primarily designed for industrial IoT, Edge AI, manufacturing, and automation teams that need to move connected physical systems from prototype to pilot or production. Its users include system integrators, R&D engineers, software developers, technical founders, researchers, and industrial operators working with cameras, sensors, controllers, and custom processing modules.

  5. What's the story behind Banalytics?

Banalytics began with a practical problem: its founder could not find a suitable platform for home automation. The solutions available were either expensive and unnecessarily complex, affordable but limited, or tied to closed ecosystems that were difficult to extend.

The idea was also shaped by a background that goes beyond software development. The founderโ€™s first education covered energy systems, manufacturing, and agriculture, while more than 20 years of engineering experience provided a clear understanding of which repetitive integration and infrastructure tasks consume the most time without creating real product value.

The concept developed gradually over nearly seven years. Eventually, the pieces came together and the idea began to take the form of a real product: a flexible platform for quickly prototyping connected-system ideas, integrating devices and software from different environments, and turning early experiments into reliable operational solutions.

That evolution led to Banalytics, a platform designed to reduce integration work, avoid unnecessary ecosystem lock-in, and help teams build, test, and operate physical systems faster.

  6. Who are some of the biggest customers of Banalytics?

Banalytics is still at an early commercial stage, so we do not yet present a list of major enterprise customers. After several years of product development and architectural refinement, the platform has only recently reached the level of maturity required to enter the enterprise market.

We are now focused on pilot projects with industrial automation, IoT, Edge AI, manufacturing, and research teams that need to connect and operate cameras, sensors, controllers, and custom processing software.
