As you record, it captures every take and, by matching each reading against the manuscript, automatically assembles your best version with no waveform editing. One click then masters the audio to ACX, broadcast, corporate, or a custom delivery specification and confirms it passes compliance before you export, replacing the need for a separate audio engineer.
AudLit also supports ACX auditions, letting narrators record, slate, and track every submission on a board, then convert a won audition into a full book project in one click. Collaboration tools let editors and authors leave text or voice feedback with no software or account setup of their own.
AudLit is human-first. Recordings are stored locally on the narrator's own device, transcription audio is deleted after processing, and the platform never uses recordings for AI training or voice cloning.

AudLit sits in between: it keeps your own performance and removes the tedious parts. There is no waveform editing, no plugins, and no engineer, and unlike AI narration tools it never synthesizes or clones a voice. AudLit began with a composer friend. He had approached me, as a professional pianist, to record his musical works, and in passing he mentioned that he had also written his memoir. AudLit grew out of a simple idea: a narrator should be able to focus entirely on reading while the software handles the takes, the cleanup, the mastering, and ACX compliance.
