This is the basic idea, but there are other apps which can make it easier. I prefer using Audio Hijack for the EQ part and sending it to a pass-through device set up in Loopback (which, for this use case, functions the same as BlackHole). Source: 7 months ago
- Audio Hijack (also by Rogue Ameba) so I can record myself, the soundboard, and QuickTime all to individual .aiff files. Source: 10 months ago
Another option that has been around for a long time. https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/. Source: 11 months ago
Definitely doable though might point to Rogue Amoeba re: implementation/execution particularly: SoundSource, Loopback & Audio Hijack. Source: 12 months ago
If you want to record application-specific audio (like from a game but not from Spotify) then it’s more complicated. Audio Hijack is a good app for this: https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/. Source: 12 months ago
I will first start by saying that I do not Podcast, but supposedly many people find Audio Hijack to be super helpful for stuff like this. You can pull and route any audio to anywhere you want. I have personally found that their other product, SoundSource, has been better at keeping my Yeti mic separated from the Brio mic than the system’s preferences. Source: 12 months ago
Easiest: Internally route it with something like AudioHijack. Source: about 1 year ago
Dave’s audio is only available during the live Apple TV broadcast. If you want it after the fact a good way to get it if you have a Mac is a program called Audio Hijack. Then you just schedule to record the ESPN LA radio stream and sync it to the video when you play it back. Source: about 1 year ago
I couldn't find a link to to the audio. I never listen (watch?) video podcasting; I listen to everything on Overcast at 1.5-2X speed. Incidentally, Audio Hijack is a great app for ripping audio from YouTube or anything else. Source: about 1 year ago
The “not free but cheap” alternatives are both from Rouge Amoeba. They are “Loopback” and …. The GOAT… “AudioHijack”. Source: about 1 year ago

> even choosing to download the audio in Apple Podcasts makes it available for offline listening, but doesn’t produce an MP3 or M4A file that you can move around or archive—it retains its DRM. Can this be solved by use of, e.g. Audio Hijack? (https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Rogue Amoeba has lots of audio software so if Soundsource can't do what you're looking for, chances are something like Audio Hijack can. Source: over 1 year ago
Maybe audio hijack? Split your audio out to both outputs simultaneously https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/. Source: over 1 year ago
Another option is Audio Hijack software on a Mac, but you'd need to get your audio out of your phone in to the computer via a stereo miniplug cable, and use headphones from the computer's audio output to hear that. Plug in your microphone using an audio interface. Route both sources to record and you're set. Source: over 1 year ago
If you are on macOS 13 Ventura, you need to download a beta version of Audio Hijack, turn on test releases and go through setup in Audio Hijack. Source: over 1 year ago
You may already have seen this, but Audio Hijack is one of the most respected, mature and long-standing apps for macOS. It's commercial software, though. Source: over 1 year ago
If you're on a Mac, Audio Hijack is what you want. Source: over 1 year ago
Not free but likely easier to use: https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/. Source: over 1 year ago
There isn't a simple way to do this all at once that I can think of that doesn't require Audio Hijack. Source: over 1 year ago
