  Back in the early 90's I was co-owner of a computer store that sold Atari computers. We were an Atari partner as well. We had just gotten into doing small scale ISP things as well. Even got ourselves setup as a registrar. My business partner notice that no one had registered atari.com so he decided to do it himself. He did it mainly to hold on to until Atari wanted to use it.   Back in the day I had a computer store selling Atari computers. My business partner noticed that no one had registered atari.com so he did. We never put up anything but an under construction page.
