  • can we get some DECENT pfp's?
Actually, they wouldn't need to pay artists at all to make new PFPs. All the PFPs thus far were generated on Artbreeder. Also, before the premium-exclusive "Survival Mode" was removed, there were a couple of unique PFPs to get from it, one being (presumably) an orc. Still, I agree. There really should be more unique PFPs. Source: almost 5 years ago

  • My attempt to depict Avallac'h
First, I never called myself an "artist". Second yes, they are made from artbreeder.com as it was obvious that I stated in the titles of a bunch of other previous posts. Never once did say "I drew this". Yes, I use artbreeder to edit them but they were made from textures, portraits of people that I know, friends and families and I also had to edit them a second/third time after downloading from Artbreeder so I... • Does anyone here know if thereโ€™s a website that could be used to generate characters or npc images/portraits.
You can use artbreeder.com, though I've heard that the images used to make the ai weren't copyright cleared, so take that as you will. Source: about 5 years ago
  • So i had fun with one neural network, and tried to rework Taboritsky portrait. What reddit thinks about it?
Yeah, there is some Sinister Valley effect, because neural network made it. Artbreeder, if someone interested. What can I say, that it is powerful tool to create portraits, but therefore its neural network, so they are not perfect. I think someone can create an entire submod for portraits made by this Computer. Source: about 5 years ago
  • What is the effect of negative weight on text prompts?
Http://artbreeder.com uses negative values to increase the image space, so you get more possibilities, more different images. In the future this method can be used as evolution simulator to evolve any kind of content you want, but the latent space needs to be larger, otherwise evolution stops to a "local maximum fitness". Is this a human character? Because if it is, you might try artbreeder.com. You can meld portraits together to create a wholly unique portrait. It was fantastic for finally putting faces to some of my characters. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Is the similarity of horse's tail/mane shape an anti-predatory adaptation?
Http://artbreeder.com combines all kinds of images to create very strange art, so it has very high expressive possibilities. With larger neural network almost any image can be evolved by making small mutations. Source: about 5 years ago

Major props to artbreeder.com for helping me with many of the photos of SPC's! Enjoy the content! Source: about 5 years ago
  • What would you do if you kept dreaming about someone you never met with the same consistent looks for about 5 years in different scenarios?
Alternative. Go to artbreeder.com and figure out how to use the tools to make an accurate face lol. And repeat step 2. And if it doesn't work, give up. You're gonna be weird if you take it too far or make an obsession out of it. Snap out of it. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Good land mapping tool for sci fi games?
I know this isn't a handy answer, but I've been stuck with the same issue for a bout a year. My solution was to compromise. I use artbreeder.com to make beautiful alien landscapes (here's an example) and character portraits for my players to use as a visual reference whilst I describe what's happening. When it comes to battlemaps I've just had to resort to piecing together textures from Google Images using roll20. Source: about 5 years ago
  • (update) 2 years ago I shared an RPG that I physically printed and stapled together...
I was very lucky because I did the art, design, writing and layout by myself. Having good aesthetics helped a lot in terms of being noticed...but it's a resource not many have access to. I didn't use it for ARC, but if you need help with images, look up public domain art from art museums as well as generate it yourself thru AI with apps like artbreeder.com. Source: about 5 years ago

Summary of the public mentions of Artbreeder

Artbreeder has garnered a diverse range of public opinions as a prominent player in the realm of AI-driven graphic design and image generation. Positioned alongside other industry leaders like DALL-E, Midjourney, and Prisma, Artbreeder holds a unique niche among AI image generators. Below is a summary of public sentiment and perception surrounding the platform, constructed from various user discussions and product mentions.

Pricing and Accessibility

Artbreeder's pricing structure is often highlighted as both competitive and flexible. With three main tiersโ€”Starter, Advanced, and Champion, priced at $8.99, $18.99, and $38.99 per month respectivelyโ€”the platform offers scalability according to user needs. The reduction in cost per image generation as one moves up the pricing ladder is seen as attractive for high-users, potentially fostering a dedicated user base in creative fields. Additionally, the platform provides three free credits monthly, a feature that appeals to budget-conscious users or those curiously delving into AI art without commitment.

Versatility and User Control

Artbreeder is praised for its interactive interface. The ability to use sliders to manipulate image traits before generation is mentioned as a standout feature, allowing users a degree of creative control that is not universally offered by competitors. This user-friendly attribute empowers individuals who might lack traditional artistic skills to still produce appealing and original artwork. Artists and hobbyists alike find value in blending images to create portraits or landscapes, which is often cited in user testimonials.

Community and Use Cases

From hobby projects to more serious artistic endeavors, Artbreeder serves a broad spectrum of applications. Users often create character designs, world-building visualizations, and even NPC images for gaming purposes. The platform's reach extends to facilitating NFT projects and personal artistic showcases. Artbreeder is also praised for its expressive potential, particularly in generating diverse avatars and scenes that can be tailored to fit narrative needs. However, some concerns about image originality and copyright have been expressed, pointing to broader questions within the AI art community regarding proprietary material.

Creative Exploration and Limitations

While Artbreeder is lauded for its creativity-enabling features, there are some reservations. Discussions frequently touch upon the general limitations inherent in AI-generated art: the potential for images to lack nuance or precision resembling human-made art. Some users report needing to re-edit AI-generated images to achieve the desired quality or blend, indicating that while Artbreeder can serve as a starting point, it may not always produce final-quality images out of the box.

Conclusion

Overall, Artbreeder is perceived positively within the digital art and AI communities. Its blend of affordable pricing, ease of use, and extensive creative possibilities make it a valuable tool for both amateur and experienced users. However, as with many AI platforms, the debate around originality and ethical use of generated content remains active. As the industry continues to evolve, Artbreeder's role may shift further, potentially incorporating more advanced machine learning algorithms or expanding its toolkit to remain competitive. Nonetheless, it remains a compelling option for digital creators seeking a hybrid tool combining AI capabilities with human creativity.
