While using Appear.in, we noticed that video conferences look great. We liked it quite a bit, although we could only test it with four people only. The audio and video quality are great and the AR feature is a lot of fun. It turns out that Appear.in is more of a competitor to Hangouts, rather than Skype. Video communication is the best aspect of the app and chat is more of an afterthought.
