Unfortunately you do need to keep your computer running, so if you are will to pay for a host then go for it, I would recommend BisectHosting(Budget), or Apex Minecraft(Premium). Source: 10 months ago
If you're considering using a hosting service like Apex Hosting, you can visit their website (https://apexminecrafthosting.com/) to explore their offerings and see if their services align with your requirements. Source: 10 months ago
I suggest looking into game server providers, such as https://civilhost.net or https://apexminecrafthosting.com once you reach publicity. Source: 11 months ago
For sites personally would recommend https://piglinhost.com , their support is fantastic. If you live in Asia/Australia then id consider apexminecrafthosting.com :). Source: about 1 year ago
Warning to all customers of this hosting. This hosting is no longer secure. A lot of cracked software was found in the files of this hosting, our group was able to access the internal systems for over 12 hours without any response from the hosting management. At the same time, there was no notification to customers regarding the security incident. Your data is not compromised and has been destroyed. We recommend... Source: about 1 year ago
Do some research bhetween different companies, a few of the larger ones may be a good way to go like https://shockbyte.com/games/minecraft-server-hosting or https://apexminecrafthosting.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
One, you will need to reach out and rent some space from a server host (such as Bisect [https://www.bisecthosting.com], Apex https://apexminecrafthosting.com], or the one I use, McHost Pro [https://www.minecraft-hosting.pro/], etc. etc.) , from there either upload the 2.9 server pack from the Curseforge page or see if the hoster has a connection to the Curseforge and install it from the prebuild loads (McHost Pro... You can do that in both versions, and I don’t know that much about Java, but from what I’ve heard https://apexminecrafthosting.com/ is the best way to make an smp on it. There’s also multiple YouTube videos explaining how to set up an apex server. Source: over 1 year ago
- apexminecrafthosting.com (the 4gb version is a lil pricey but 14 eur quarterly is good?). Source: over 1 year ago
We've been using apex hosting for ours. It does have a fee, incase you're looking for something free, but it's worked pretty well for us if you want to check it out ^^. Source: almost 2 years ago
Not all server hosts are equal though, some are definitely better than others. Had a bad experience with shockbyte and heard bad things about minehut but apparently apex server hosting is supposed to be decent: https://apexminecrafthosting.com/ (Not sponsored or anything). For a while now I have been banging my head no the wall how to make a few hundred dollars a month of passive income. I thought that maybe hosting minecraft servers would be a decent past time, since I know for a fact that many of my friends are now looking for actual paid hosting to play during summer break. The market is huge, but I am worried it operates on paper thin profit margins, but then again I am shit at... Source: almost 2 years ago
Ignore the other comment you have, Just dont use a Rpi, they are not good for hosting anything besides a vanilla server for 3 players max, you'd need to get the top one for that even. I would recommend using a hosting provider like Hyper Panel or even Apex Hosting. If you are doing big modpacks either just use your computer (I do normally 16gb dedicated to it when I use my computer) or just use a host for it, yeah... Source: almost 2 years ago
I have been using Apex to host my server for a few years now and can honestly say we have had very few issues. Source: about 2 years ago
i'm using https://apexminecrafthosting.com/, they have a zomboid option. I started with 4 gb of ram with 5 players, but adding mod and puting 3x zombies was too much. So I bump to 8gb. Source: about 2 years ago
Thanks for the answer! The server was rented from https://apexminecrafthosting.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Some paid options are Apex Hosting and Sparked Host. Source: over 2 years ago
Best one at the moment if Apex Hosting, you may think "well Shockbyte is cheaper" all that stuff, well Shockbyte was good, for around a week then it went bad... Very bad. But if you want a server hoster that is: 24 Hour, Amazing Support Team, Support for thousands of plugins or decent hardware that is somewhat cheap go to Apex Hosting. Source: over 2 years ago
ApexHosting is fabulous (https://apexminecrafthosting.com/) but it is one of the more expensive options. Source: over 2 years ago
Alright so my friends and I recently decided that we are going to rent out a Minecraft server so we can all play on it to keep ourselves busy because we have entered about a month of lockdown again. We use the service https://apexminecrafthosting.com/ and we pay for a server with the amount of recommended RAM for the amount of players as per the minecraft wiki. Source: almost 3 years ago
Https://apexminecrafthosting.com/ has been great for my friends and me. Source: almost 3 years ago
