I supposed that sort of lends to another question I have - are podcasts even downloaded these days? Or are they streamed? For example, the anchor.fm analytics don't even give me download numbers. Source: over 1 year ago
Hey planning on starting a small podcast with some old friends. Need suggestions on a mic that can provide a decent audio quality on anchor.fm Also keep in mind that we're just interns right now so can't afford a huge bill and if the product is widely available on Amazon India that would be great. Thanks. Source: over 1 year ago

Every time a podcast I was a guest on is released, there are a few things I do to make sure I do my part for its success. I create a copy of its audio and place it into a playlist I control on Anchor.fm with links back to its original posting. If they release a video version of the podcast, I add it to a playlist I have on my YouTube channel. If they tweet me about the podcast release, I make sure to retweet it.... Source: over 1 year ago
As far as distribution and basic editing (adding other files like intros, outros, they even offer ad spots), anchor.fm goes a long way for the price (free baby!). We organize everything in Google Docs/Sheets, and it will work great until scale justifies paid services and tools. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you do end up going with a very hands off audio approach, anchor.fm has great tools to organize and combine multiple audio files like intros, outros, and even ad spots when you get big enough, and is also free to host on and use. Source: almost 2 years ago
There are services that will host a podcast for free, such as Anchor and RedCircle. Once your show is available as a podcast, you can submit it to places like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon, and other distributors. Source: almost 2 years ago
Is there anyone in contact with anchor.fm who could slap them in the head for this? Source: almost 2 years ago
I don't have my own podcast, so I'm no expert on what would best fit your particular needs. Anchor and RedCircle are the two most popular free hosts. Of the two, I prefer RedCircle. Source: almost 2 years ago
It's anchor.fm you can just open it there hit the rss feed and get all them even gives you an easy download button. Nothing untoward it's part of the service. Source: almost 2 years ago
Before anyone asks - "whats the difference between this and anchor.fm". Source: almost 2 years ago
The first platform, Anchor, may provide (as far as I can understand from reading their general information guides) both video and audio-only options for streaming. Source: almost 2 years ago

Podcast Distribution / Hosting: I'm still deciding between Anchor (100% free) and paid options from Buzzsprout, Captivate, and Simplecast. Source: almost 2 years ago
I can't claim that it will be "good" but I'm thinking I'll turn my actual play videos into anchor.fm podcasts and throw my hat into the ring on that one. I find that most OSR games don't have a lot of production value, no music, no sound effects, a bit dry with roleplaying, very slow paced. Source: almost 2 years ago
So I use anchor.fm and I use the default music available while editing. Now the question is on Apple Podcasts Connect. There's a question asking if the show has third-party content, yes or no, and if yes, if the third-party content has rights to use it. Do I need to mention yes because of the music? I already credited the images I used from Pexels, which are CC. Source: about 2 years ago
We saw people move to listnr.fm from free solutions like anchor.fm and other popular solutions like libsyn, buzzsprout, and riverside.fm etc. Source: about 2 years ago
