Django

Personally I prefer Python and I use Django. Django is a full-blown fullstack framework like Laravel, but it's designed really well so you only write code and config you need and doesn't feel heavy-handed on smaller projects, the way Laravel and Rails do, and using Django as a plain static-site generator is a common pattern.
