At home: Pi-hole costs as much as a raspberry pi and SD card cost. Once you get it up and running I strongly recommend donating to them. I'm not affiliated but they have an amazing thing going. RPi is easy to set up if you can follow directions, know how to google, and have access to your router's administration page (to change the default gateway). I'm a career IT professional and I will literally talk you through it on TS, Discord, Teamviewer, etc if you DM me and I have time. It's absolutely worth it.

  9. Mullvad is a Swedish virtual private network (VPN) provider.
I prefer Mullvad VPN. All you get is a randomly generated account number, and you can use bitcoin and similarly anonymous payments. I think you can just mail them cash and a note of your account number, IIRC. No logs as well.

  11. A browser extension that clicks on every blocked ad to fight advertising surveillance.
Or fight back with Ad Nauseum, it clicks every tracking ad (it doesn't actually load it in your browser but it does send a 'view') so that tracking advertisements end up costing more for advertisers, who pay around a dollar a click as opposed to cents for views.
