AlignDay is an aligner tracker app for iPhone — wear timer, honest history, stats, and per-tray records. No accounts, no ads, data stays on device.
A startup from Hong Kong (China) that is founded by Adrian Lau.
This page is designed to help you find out whether AlignDay is good and if it is the right choice for you.
AlignDay is the aligner tracker that can't lose your hours — built the way an orthodontist reads wear logs. Clear-aligner treatment succeeds or fails on wear time — 20 to 22 hours a day — and most tracking apps quietly fail at exactly that job: they count time with an in-app stopwatch, so quitting the app, restarting your phone, or an overnight system cleanup silently deletes hours from your record.
AlignDay records the moment your aligners come out and the moment they go back in, then computes wear time from those timestamps. It never needs to stay open. Sessions that cross midnight are split correctly across days. If you forget to log, you can back-fill "out from 12:30 to 13:05" after the fact — and AlignDay checks that added intervals never overlap existing ones, so your ledger stays consistent instead of drifting into fiction.
Wear hours are only half of aligner self-management; the other half is the switch schedule. AlignDay tracks which tray you are on, lets you set per-tray durations individually (orthodontists often ask patients to keep one tray longer), notifies you on switch day, and keeps the full switch history.
Nothing stands between you and your record. There is no account to create, no login wall, no ads, and no server dependency — the core tracker works fully offline, so it cannot fail the way cloud-tied trackers do. That also means real privacy by design: a wear log is health data with your daily routine written into it, and AlignDay simply collects none of it. Every record stays on your iPhone.
Designed by its co-founder and Clinical Director Dr. Adrian Lau, a specialist orthodontist (BDS, MClinDent, MOrth), AlignDay works with any clear-aligner brand. Fully localised in English, Japanese and Chinese, with full support for system text-size settings. Quiet by design: open it, see your status in one second, close it.

Timestamp-Based Wear Tracking
Records the moment aligners come out and the moment they go back in, then computes wear time from those timestamps. Stays accurate even if the app is closed or the phone restarts; sessions that cross midnight split correctly per day.
One-Tap Take Out / Put Back
Exactly two states, one tap each way. Today's wear time is shown live.
Overlap-Protected Editable History
Forgot to tap? Back-fill "out from 12:30 to 13:05" after the fact and correct mistakes. Added intervals are checked so they never overlap, keeping the ledger consistent.
Custom Daily Wear Goals
Set 20 h, 22 h, or whatever your orthodontist prescribes, with a live goal ring showing whether today is on track.
Daily Tray-Out Budget
Shows in plain language how much off-time you can still afford today — a gentle nudge before a long dinner becomes a lost day.
Put-Back Reminders
Nudges tied to your actual tray-out session, so a short break doesn't quietly become an evening without aligners.
Per-Tray Treatment Schedule
Individual per-tray durations, switch-day notifications, full switch history, and auto-projected finish dates.
Progress Photos & Trends
Local-only photos to compare changes, plus 7-day / 30-day goal-met rates and per-tray stats.
Offline, No Account, No Ads
The core tracker works fully offline with no sign-up and no ads. Every record stays on your iPhone.
