aIDentix is an AI-powered identity verification platform built for banks, financial institutions, and other regulated businesses that need to meet strict KYC and AML compliance requirements. Instead of stitching together separate tools for customer onboarding, compliance teams get a single platform covering Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, AML screening against PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) and sanctions lists, biometric liveness detection, and automated identity document verification.
The platform is designed for the evolving EU regulatory landscape, built to align with eIDAS 2.0 and EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) requirements, and positioned for upcoming AML Regulation (AMLR) obligations. This makes aIDentix particularly relevant for organizations operating in the European Union that need identity verification software capable of adapting to new digital identity standards rather than retrofitting compliance later.
aIDentix combines document verification, facial biometric matching, and liveness checks to reduce fraud during onboarding, while automated AML/PEP/sanctions screening helps compliance teams flag high-risk customers without manual cross-referencing across multiple databases. The result is faster, more secure customer onboarding with lower operational overhead for compliance and risk teams.
aIDentix is already used in production by regulated institutions including UniCredit Bulbank, UBB, and other clients across banking, lending, and asset management, giving it real-world validation in high-volume, high-compliance environments — not just a theoretical solution.
Key capabilities include: KYC identity verification, AML screening, PEP and sanctions list checks, biometric liveness detection, ID document verification, eIDAS 2.0 conformity, EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) readiness, and fraud prevention for regulated onboarding.
Listed in
Document Verification
Validates government-issued ID documents (passports, national IDs, driver's licenses) for authenticity, extracting and cross-checking data fields automatically to detect forgery or tampering during onboarding.
Liveness Detection
Confirms a real, present person is completing verification — not a photo, video, or deepfake — using biometric liveness checks that match the live capture against the submitted ID document.
AML & Sanctions Screening
Automatically screens customers against AML watchlists, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) databases, and global sanctions lists, flagging high-risk individuals without manual cross-referencing.
Proof of Address
Validates address documents (utility bills, bank statements, official correspondence) to confirm customer residency, supporting KYC and regulatory address-verification requirements.
Reusable Identity
Allows a customer verified once to reuse their verified identity across multiple services or institutions, reducing repeat onboarding friction while maintaining compliance standards.
Questionnaire / Risk Assessment
Collects structured customer information through configurable questionnaires to support KYC risk profiling and due diligence, feeding directly into the overall compliance and onboarding workflow.
Banks, financial institutions, lenders, and other regulated businesses operating in the EU that need to verify customer identity during onboarding while meeting KYC, AML, and evolving digital identity regulations. This includes compliance officers, risk teams, and operations teams responsible for onboarding workflows.
aIDentix grew out of enterprise consulting work with banks and financial institutions, where the same problem kept coming up: identity verification and compliance were handled through fragmented tools, and new EU regulation — eIDAS 2.0 and the EU Digital Identity Wallet — was raising the bar further. That experience, combined with direct relationships inside regulated institutions, led to building a dedicated platform rather than continuing to consult around the problem.
aIDentix combines KYC checks, AML/PEP/sanctions screening, biometric liveness detection, document verification, proof of address verification, and reusable identity into a single platform, rather than requiring separate tools. It's built specifically for eIDAS 2.0 and EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) compliance from the ground up, positioning it ahead of upcoming EU regulatory requirements like AMLR rather than retrofitting for them later.
Most identity verification vendors serve a global market and treat EU regulatory requirements as one feature among many. aIDentix is built around EU-specific compliance — eIDAS 2.0, EUDI Wallet, and upcoming AMLR requirements — as a core design principle, and has direct experience with the procurement and compliance processes of EU banks and financial institutions through real deployments.
aIDentix is built on a Java and Python backend with a React frontend. For AI capabilities, it runs on Mistral AI models served via Ollama, allowing inference to run on our own infrastructure rather than through third-party cloud APIs — an important design choice given the sensitive nature of biometric and identity data under eIDAS 2.0 and AML regulations.
UniCredit Bulbank and UBB, along with clients across lending and asset management including Paypercut, MicroCredit, and Elana Trading, Elana Fund Management.
