I have this issue all the time, trying to articulate a design style. A couple of my go-to resources for style references are design trend blogs/articles or stock asset websites. Adobe Stock does a Creative Trends report every year that can be helpful for defining hybrid styles, and 99Designs does a similar Graphic Design Trends blog post. If all else fails, Iโll browse Adobe Stock or another stock website, and... Source: about 3 years ago

Is it also trained on all of the Adobe Stock images which were created with Generative AIs in the first place? I think that could get into a messy spot too. It looks like there are already millions on there, not all of which is actually labeled as generative. If you go to https://stock.adobe.com/ and search for `-generative` you can see it filters out ~3M of them, but then go to the "undiscovered content" filter,... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago

I did a reverse google image search for the portion of the image that includes the currency Presidents/Non-Presidents. And it's an Adobe stock image that comes up when you search for "presidents" at https://stock.adobe.com/, titled "Close-up Of United States Paper Currency Presidents Isolated On Vintage Background". So Adobe holds some of the blame, too. I imagine their graphic designer got pressed into action... Source: over 3 years ago
If you're looking for a monthly subscription to a stock image service, my personal favorite is Soundstripe.com because they also have a pretty solid music library. stock.adobe.com has a better library of images and videos but they limit how many you can download per month whereas soundstripe does not. Cool. I think the idea is there. I think it could use some higher quality source photos. Like the painter. Try stock.adobe.com and search for "free". The painter just looks really fake and grainy. Source: over 3 years ago
I would start by opening up stock.adobe.com and search for "indesign book". Not all will be books but you'll definitely find some that you may work for you. Source: over 3 years ago
The videomaterial I got from pexels.com , it's a free website. You can also get 10 free videos from stock.adobe.com , those are much nicer. I might consider getting a subscription there. Source: over 3 years ago

Adobe Stock is awesome, and you can get 10 free images per month included with the cheapest bundled Photoshop plan. I think it's something like $10 whereas the standalone Photoshop plan is $40, it's crazy. Source: over 3 years ago
I also use Adobe Stock. If you pay for Adobe Cloud, they have a lot of free images and videos you can access. Not sure if you can access then without a Adobe Cloud account though. Source: almost 4 years ago
Based on a comprehensive survey of public discourse around Adobe Stock, a leading stock marketplace by Adobe, substantial insights can be gleaned regarding its reputation, usability, and differentiating features. Adobe Stock operates in a competitive landscape featuring prominent rivals such as Shutterstock, Getty Images, and iStock, among others. It offers a wide array of high-resolution, royalty-free assets, including photos, images, vectors, templates, and audio, with specific plans enabling both standard and premium asset access.
Positive Aspects: Adobe Stock is often praised for its extensive and high-quality collection, boasting over 300 million images available for various creative and professional projects. It is particularly noted for its integration with Adobe Creative Suite, which facilitates seamless access and use of assets for Adobe users. One prominent feature highlighted by users is Adobe Stock's Creative Trends report, which offers valuable insights into design trends, aiding artists in aligning their work with contemporary styles. Subscribers appreciate the clarity and quality of Adobe Stockโs images, which are suitable for professional use without recurring copyright concerns.
Subscription and Accessibility: Another well-received feature is the tiered subscription model, with offerings ranging from $29.99 to $249.99 per month, in addition to the availability of a 30-day free trial. This model appeals to a diverse range of users, from occasional freelancers to large-scale agencies. The freemium model of downloading up to 40 images or several videos during the trial period has also drawn positive feedback. However, some users express concerns over perceived restrictions in terms of monthly download limits for subscribed members when compared to competitors providing unlimited monthly access.
Challenges and Criticisms: Despite its robust offerings, Adobe Stock faces criticism regarding the ease of accessing assets without an Adobe Cloud subscription. Some users find navigating Firewalls or technical configurations challenging when disconnected from Adobe's ecosystem. Additionally, the rise of generative AI content within Adobe Stockโs database, as noted by users, raises questions about the labeling and identifyability of such content. Thereโs also discourse surrounding the visibility of content, with some users indicating that the platform's featured assets do not always represent the breadth of available content.
Competitiveness: In comparisons featured in articles like "The best Freepik alternatives 2023," Adobe Stock is posited as a critical competitor, particularly in offering premier quality and diverse content. However, free alternatives like Pixabay and Unsplash are often mentioned as potential sources for royalty-free images, appealing to budget-conscious creators.
Overall, Adobe Stock is regarded as a premier platform offering an extensive library of high-quality, royalty-free assets. Its tight integration with Adobe applications, subscription flexibility, and insightful market trends reporting are significant value additions. However, areas such as access limitations for non-Adobe Cloud users and clarity regarding AI-generated content represent opportunities for improvement. Despite a competitive industry landscape, Adobe Stock maintains its stature through a distinguished catalog, although acknowledging and adapting to feedback could enhance its service proposition and user satisfaction further.
