Very confusing. I thought CoolRunnings was the originator but then they point zenLabs, amazon eBooks and active.com. Everything feels really scammy & scuzzy Ads on free Apps. I was looking into this two years ago and just gave up. Cool idea but now a mess. Source: 11 months ago
May want to see if active.com has any of these ? The downside is that most of the listings seem to be ongoing events, but you may be able to filter those out. Source: 11 months ago
Chargeback would be against active.com and they can of course refuse future business with you, means you're not racing anything anymore basically. I personally suggest dealing with IM first. Source: about 1 year ago
Yeah I was just saying to my friends, we used to be able to use the travel agents but even when we registered ourselves it was stressful but we never really had a problem. Like when they were using the active.com website you could have everyone in there, and get it done in 5 mins, maybe waited a half hour. I even remember registration opening while driving to work and registering when I got there no... Source: about 1 year ago
I heard a rumor IM was going to announce a new event at Jones Beach next week, and it looks like it's true. IM 70.3 New York is up on active.com. Cool! Source: over 1 year ago
Check your active.com account. Maybe it'll show up their as an optional purchase (w/ a zero price). Source: almost 2 years ago
I got my email to pick a time on June 20th. Maybe check your spam folder? If that doesn't work, log in to your active.com account and select the event (not sure exactly what that will look like since I'm using a direct link), then "check-in times and merch.". Source: almost 2 years ago
The non "early registration" price is $80 which to me is far less reasonable. That is per event so doing a normal 2-3 events would be $160-$240 (+ active.com fees). For reference, it used to be $40 per event early reg, $50/55 otherwise. Source: about 2 years ago
I have seen it, though I admit those specific numbers are rare. However, I disagree that most people suggest under 10. If you google "ironman training schedule" most results suggest over 10. active.com says you have to put in a minimum of 13 hours per week which simply is not true. I agree with you that many of the people in this sub want to get faster times (that's what I am working on now), but this post was... Source: over 2 years ago
I liked this explanation from active.com: """. Source: over 2 years ago
Does anyone know what the deal is with parking for the Grantham event? I bought my ticket over a year ago (before covid) and swear that I bought parking but it isnt showing on my ticket or my active.com account. Is there anywhere I can park? Or can I pay on the day? Source: over 2 years ago
There is no "one stop shop' but you can try active.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
So I was 220 starting and right now am 210-212. 2063 calories is the BMR (not tdee) I'm getting from active.com. But I'll look around. Source: about 3 years ago
