The problem here is that academia.edu is not perse a place where authors will upload their papers; it rather functions as a large academic PDF exchange. I have messaged the uploader a while back, but have not received a response. Source: 10 months ago

Why doesn't she "publish" this somewhere like academia.edu and call it a publication? Would that qualify for the purposes of disseminating research, which I assume is the purpose behind demanding students publish their work? Source: 10 months ago
So I was curious -- as my search through Google Scholar and academia.edu yielded no results -- if you know of any Roman basileus using (reviving) the Pater Patriae honorific or perhaps being awarded it by a chronicler? Source: 11 months ago
Hi, do you need an academia.edu premium discounted subscription? Message me. Source: 11 months ago
See if the author has a website, academia.edu, researchgate, university depository, or similar page. Some authors will upload preprints or even the final manuscript to their site. Source: 11 months ago
I hear ya! Nih is always a good source for full-text articles (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/?term=pmdd) and on academia.edu many researchers offer their work. If you have a university email you can usually get anything you want if you jump through the hoops -- too bad Zlibrary got taken down by the feds! I hear things about library genesis but haven't used it yet https://librarygenesis.net/. Source: 11 months ago
It all started with my trip to Germany. I signed up for a widow's course and was learning German quickly. I was learning faster than anyone else in my class and within 3 months I got a job. By the way, I must state that I am a doctor and want to work in psychiatry. Then something happened that I didn't expect. One of the best universities in Germany wanted to meet with me. I had an excellent hospitation experience... Source: 11 months ago
In looking for their research through academic search engines, such as my college library, google scholar, etc., their research doesn't appear to exist, or at the very least is not peer reviewed. I tried looking for their business license or registration as a business, but that doesn't exist either. They claim to be based in Denver, CO, but the website is registered in FL. They have pictures and profiles of board... Source: 12 months ago
If you wonder about something, someone has done a study about it and posted the paper. For example, I came to think about 'Hamlet' really being about Hamlet's mother, the real operator, getting frustrated with her dead-beat husband, the king, when his brother would make a much better leader. They are facing imminent attack from a powerful enemy and the King was drunk. She gets the uncle to kill the king, so she... Source: 12 months ago

Believe it or not I've actually been conversing with ChatGPT. I use it to point me in the right direction and then I go from there (supplementing with Google searches, Wikipedia, and personal knowledge of course). Recently I asked about Benin's military and it pointed me to some great write-ups on academia.edu (there's a bunch of great papers there). Source: about 1 year ago
As far as research goes, one of my favourite ways of looking stuff up is going to academia.edu. There's a lot of good scholarship there. If you type site:www.academia.edu followed by any search term into the google search bar, you can usually find some decent stuff, as well as related papers and beyond. Source: about 1 year ago
I've had luck with requesting papers through academia.edu or just asking via e-mail. Never had anyone ask for a favor in return for emailing a pdf file, it seems people are often happy to share their work with people who are interested. Source: about 1 year ago
Utpaladeva uses arguments from Buddhist philosophy to illustrate some extremely niche points that separate Pratyabhijna from other schools of thought. There are no cover-to-cover books on this as these works have only been translated in fragments. You can find some essays on academia.edu :) but for a more heartfelt experience, definitely check out the .mp3's/.mp4's from Lakshmanjoo Academy! Source: about 1 year ago
