So, something very strange happened to me for the first time. I was denied boarding on a Lufthansa flight. The staff at the airport kept changing their excuse, and every time they came up with something, I had to prove it was wrong. (for example they said the ticket which I got online (trip.com) was paid in cash, then they said I need a transit visa which I did not need...) in the end they said they can't let me... Skyscanner at times lead to websites such as trip.com which provides a ticket confirmation after 48 hours. I read somewhere that these thrid-party websites do bulk booking with airlines in order to gain bigger commissions. I book onced with trip.com and got the ticket within 48 hours. Source: 6 months ago
We booked everything else through trip.com so I'm hoping that will making things smoother, since they actually said they accepted foreigners. Source: 6 months ago
Alternatively if you are booking common routes, trip.com or Kiwi.com could hold the customers credit card details for you and middle man the transaction in a much safer way than holding the information yourself. You would still need their login to details which poses it's own risks. Source: 6 months ago
Lijiang: I had initially booked a fast train between Guilin and Lijiang, it would have taken 11 hours to get there. Then I found a flight on trip.com for the same price: cancelled the train, got refunded and booked the flight everything by trip.com without any problem. Lijiang old town is super nice, even if it has been "fixed" and there are many things to do around it (Tiger Leaping Gorge, Yulong Snow Mountain,... Source: 7 months ago
In fact it's more than that :). Wayclix.com is a meta search travel site developed in the concept of connected trip planning. Once you set a destination and budget, our solution pulls all flight, airport transfer and accommodation options from the various databases (skyscanner.net, kayak.com, rome2rio.com). Initially, it shows you the cheapest possible flight, the closest hotel to the center (which fills the... Source: over 1 year ago
I made use of skyscanner.net, google.com/travel/flights and momondo.co.za to compare prices when purchasing tickets recently. I scanned those sights daily with added alerts for months as to find the best prices only to eventually purchase the tickets direct from the airline. There were a few creative travel options presented by those sites which at first glance made it seem a lot cheaper than booking direct... Source: over 1 year ago
This might be a bit tricky from Sandakan and it is going to cost you. Scoot, Air Asia or Jetstar will be your best bet to Perth. Getting to/from Perth cheaply could involve using some imagination to find a cheap flight. You might want to look at where you will end up to fly to Perth. From Bali will be cheap, so you might want to consider adding on some time there. You will also find cheap direct flights from... Source: over 1 year ago
Air Asia do direct flights from Chiang Mai to Krabi. They are fine. It is way too far to go by bus. Same from Krabi to KL. Easy flight. Use skyscanner.net to search for possible flights, then book directly with the airline. Source: almost 2 years ago
Check other airlines aside from Ryanair. Other airlines have cheap flights as well. I like to use skyscanner.net for this. Source: almost 2 years ago
