So Lua is the new Tcl. A lightweight scripting language designed to be embedded in other programs. Then I went and looked at http://tcl.tk and it appears the current maintainers of Tcl forgot why it exists as well. ;-) Everyone hated Tcl back in the day for similar reasons. I’d personally recommend Godot, because it’s FOSS, has a really nice way of doing things (in my opinion), and a language that’s similar enough to Go that when I was first learning Go I’d frequently use terms from GDScript!
