    I would ask what compliance regulations specifically they need to adhere to and then look to salesforce.com for relevant docs per that spec to show Owner. If its HIPAA (healthcare) or another variation of industry, you probably have very specific rules that salesforce will have specific documentation to say if they do or don't have options for complying with that.
