What's the story behind your product?

Nexoid's answer

Nexoid, launched in 2014, began as an IT consultancy before transitioning into offering bespoke ITSM and ERP solutions. The driving force behind Nexoid was the desire to bridge the gap between IT departments and other business units. The foundation of our approach is 'efficiency,' leading to a customizable and user-friendly ITSM solution. Nexoid's modern interface reimagines problem-solving in IT, transforming from a cycle of firefighting to a constructive method of task resolution, thus driving positive change inside and outside IT departments.

My journey, as the founder of Nexoid, Jontathon Grantham, started at an early age with an introduction to computers while my father was recuperating from a serious injury. Despite academic struggles due to dyslexia, I moved to the UK, embarked on various business contracts, returned to Australia to complete an MBA, and then back to the UK for more projects. Through my experiences, I observed a common thread of dissatisfaction within the IT industry. This realization motivated me to inspire change, fostering a more positive and productive environment. This transformation had a domino effect, leading to improved business outcomes and personal growth within the teams I worked with. Nexoid is the continuation of my journey to humanize the tech industry.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

A Company of Engineering , Barden Chapman is using our ERP solutions. AM Digital is also one of our clients using our ITSM solution

Asana Reviews

  1. Good, but not the best.

While Asana is a robust task management and project planning tool, in my experience, it falls slightly short when compared to Trello, particularly in terms of user-friendliness and simplicity. Asana offers a variety of features such as multiple project views (list, board, timeline, calendar), custom fields, and reporting tools, which can be highly beneficial for complex project management. However, I found that the learning curve can be steep, especially for team members not familiar with this type of software. The interface, while feature-rich, can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming for new users. On the other hand, Trello shines in its simplicity and straightforward design. The visual card and board system is intuitive and easy to grasp, making it a more accessible tool for team members of varying tech proficiency levels. Additionally, Trello's user interface is cleaner and more streamlined, which contributes to an overall more enjoyable user experience.

In terms of collaboration, both tools provide good collaborative features like commenting, tagging, and task assignment. However, I appreciate Trello's flexibility with its Power-Ups, allowing integration with a wide array of apps which enhances its functionality. In conclusion, while Asana is a powerful tool with extensive features, I prefer Trello for its ease of use, simplicity, and intuitive design. However, I do see the value of Asana for larger teams or more complex projects.

  2. A Solid Project Management Tool, but Not the Best on the Market

Asana is a popular project management tool that has a lot to offer. It is fast and versatile, making it easy for individuals and teams to collaborate and get things done. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and there are plenty of features to help you organise and track your projects.

However, while Asana is a good tool, it is not the best on the market. One of its main weaknesses is its lack of advanced reporting and analysis capabilities. It can be challenging to get a comprehensive view of your projects and how they are progressing, especially if you have a large number of them.

Another issue is the cost. Asana can be expensive for teams with a lot of members, especially when compared to other project management tools that offer similar features at a lower price point.

    🏁 Competitors: Trello
    👍 Pros:    Fast|Clean ui|Excellent features
    👎 Cons:    No reporting|Expensive
  3. Coordinate and manage in teams the tasks and the circulation of work of a plan.

Asana is a very representative app for the work environment I'm a part of with team members and users it's stellar for: • To manage it on the web and portable devices • With option and manageability on the web • To set up projects and invite team members. • The projects have a roadmap to know the displacement of each activity. • Tasks can contain subtasks to keep track of work • Allows granting tasks, define expiration periods. • Effective and useful for adding files, making comments, and tags.

    🏁 Competitors: Trello, Wrike
👍 Pros:    Asana proceeds effectively by promoting and supporting the work plan process for each project in terms of: • to arrange and establish the work to be executed for a given project. • to distribute and share among the members the tasks of a project. • flexible to locate and work those minimum activities of a task. • to fix and assign who will be in charge of the tasks. • it is consistent to fix the structured tasks and visualize the phases and their movements. • to set dates for a project from start to finish. • with the option to handle related tasks that in one way or another are dependent on each other.
👎 Cons:    Asana, is substantial to give continuity to the acquired commitments, it gathers everything necessary for the satisfactory completion of the work plans, being so it is a fantastic application as long as i have no adverse consequences while i am using it.
